Officials visiting the Glasgow Rangers Ibrox Stadium were so impressed with the quality and condition of the Fibrelastic pitch they asked Head Groundsman David Roxburgh just how he and his team were able to do it!
Rangers have the only pitch in the SPL using Fibrelastic rootzone which was installed in 2008. The unique properties of Fibrelastic mean that pitches are more resilient so they look and play great, regardless of what gets thrown at them. A reduction in surface hardness also means that players are less prone to injury and have a better grip on the ball.
Russell Latham comments: “It’s great that the Rangers’ Fibrelastic pitch has been noted for its quality by the SPL. We’re very proud of the look and feel of the surface and look forward to continue working with Rangers”.
