We’ve had a rare 1:1 coaching space open up on Thursday afternoons at Co-op Academy Failsworth!

Our 1:1 sessions are open to all ages and abilities and are completely tailored to the individual, working on technical development, confidence and the areas that matter most to them.

Parents also get access to our 1:1 Parent Portal, with regular coach feedback and progress updates 📈💙

We only have one space available, so once it’s gone, our 1:1 coaching is full again.

18 months ago, this started with a simple idea and a few footballs in a public park, to create somewhere SEND children and families who had been left out for far too long could finally feel like they belonged.

Fast forward to today and we’re now supporting over 35 incredible young people, aged 3–17, every single week. 💙

Different ages. Different abilities. Different needs. But all sharing the same pitch.

A place to play football without judgement.
A place to make friends.
A place to build confidence.
A place where being yourself is more than enough.

What started as a dream is slowly becoming something very special, and seeing these groups together every Saturday reminds us exactly why we started.

And the best part?

We’re only getting started. 🚀⚽️

Our Discover and Play group is an inclusive age 3-6 play group designed to give youngsters their footbal fix in a safe supportive non-pressured environment!

Spaces are filling fast but we still have a limited number of places available in our Saturday session!

This week saw coach Charlie begin his journey working with our amazing young football stars!

We support children with a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, Down syndrome, SEMH needs and children who may simply struggle with confidence or mainstream football environments.

Our focus isn't on creating the best footballer in the room.

It's about helping each child make their own progress, whether that's joining in for the first time, making a friend, managing frustration, communicating with a teammate, learning a new skill or simply leaving with a smile.

SEND Football Coach

📍 Co-op Academy Failsworth (Not officially affiliated with the school)

💷 £15 per hour

⏰ 7 hours per week (with possibility for expansion)
Evenings & Weekends

⚽️Planning football sessions for & working with children from age 4-17 years old in small group football sessions (maximum 7 children at a time)

Do you have a passion for football and want to make a real difference to the lives of young people? As Beyond The Game continues to grow, we’re looking to recruit our first coach.

This isn’t just about football.

It’s about helping children with autism, ADHD and additional needs develop confidence, friendships and a love for being active.

You’ll initially work alongside our head coach, learning how we deliver our sessions before progressing to leading your own groups as the academy continues to expand.

There is genuine opportunity for growth, with future plans for:

Desirable
* FA Introduction to Coaching Football or above
* Grassroots coaching experience
*Means of transport to and from our venue in Failsworth (with some equipment I.e footballs/cones)

Essential
*Dbs/Children Safeguarding/First aid in sport (or willingness to obtain one)
* Excellent communication
* Enjoy working with children
* Reliable

🌟 MAY WINNERS SPOTLIGHT – BEN 🌟

This month, we want to shine a very special spotlight on one of our incredible young people, Ben 💛⚽

Ben joined Beyond The Game only a short while ago, and in that time the progress he has made has honestly been amazing to witness.

For us, success has never just been about football ability. It’s about confidence, self-belief, happiness and helping young people feel proud of themselves, and Ben is the perfect example of that.

Since joining the academy, Ben has grown in confidence week by week. He now arrives at every session with a huge smile on his face, eager to learn, eager to play and excited to be part of the environment around him.

Not only have we seen huge improvements in his football skills and engagement, but hearing that he’s now out in the garden at home practicing the skills he’s learned with us means absolutely everything, and we are hearing his family are equally as proud as we are!❤️

That tells us this has become something he genuinely values and enjoys, and that’s what Beyond The Game is all about.

Ben, every single one of us is proud of you. Your attitude, effort and determination inspire everybody around you, and it is genuinely an honour to be part of your journey.
