Manchester United have ended their interest in Barcelona left-back
Alejandro Balde after deciding his salary demands were too high, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Spanish defender had emerged as a potential target after being left out of Barcelona's squad for the La Liga opener against Elche.
United had contacted Balde's representatives to assess the conditions for a possible move, but their interest has now faded. The club have consequently turned their attention towards other options at left-back. Balde, 22, is not pushing to leave Barcelona and has told the club he wants to remain and compete for his place.
His future had become uncertain following his omission, but the latest developments suggest he could stay at Camp Nou this season.
