R.A.S football CLUB

Massive well done to everyone today honestly couldn’t be prouder of everyone! 1st game in a few weeks for us.

From the first minute we chased the ball down didn’t give them time on the ball thought Mac was brilliant all game closing down from the front. I’ve tried to mix it around recently to play some people in positions they’ve not regularly played and honestly me and Jordan think everyone’s just took it in their stride not moaned and just got on with it.

Some of the goals we scored today honestly I was buzzing with passing from back to front in 4 passes to be finished off in the box.

We dug in deep last few minutes of the game to make sure we got the result in the end. The amount of parents at the end that mentioned how well we worked together as a team and also couldn’t believe how good Connie was in net🤣

Everyone worked their socks off today and we couldn’t ask any more from anyone.

MOTM first one was Jenson, chasing everything down some nice dribbles down the lane and a nice assist passed across to mac to top it off.

Other MOTM / WOTM was Scarlett, thought she did really well chasing everything down combined really nicely passing inside and scored a really well took goal.

Under 8s

Brilliant performance from everyone today with no subs me and Jordan couldn’t have asked for any more!

We created some brilliant chances all game hit the post multiple times, on another day we could of easily scored 10 goals, great to see the team are creating so many chances, the pressure from the front today winning the ball back aggressive again giving the opponent no time.

Some of the goals we scored were really well took as well really composed.

MOTM was Parker, worked really hard all game on the wing positioned himself really well to win the ball back made some brilliant last man tackles and scored 2 really well took goals.

A huge welcome to our brand new under 8s, we’re so excited to have them as part of our club and can’t wait to see what they do in the up coming season.

From the first moment we were aggressive pressing winning the ball high the first goal we scored after about 10 seconds was brilliant 3 passes and it was in the back of the net!

We were so much better than last week some brilliant team goals really good passing and moving so aggressive winning the ball back exactly what I asked from everyone.

MOTM was Olly, from the first moment was confident on the ball passing out happy to do any job anywhere on the pitch. Some of the dribbling today don’t know where he’s been hiding it getting passed players with different skills so buzzing!

RAS Wolves U11s

Another early game for the boys this morning, and it was always going to be a tough one. With a few players missing, we had to play 6v7.

The boys knew it would be a challenge, but we weren’t switched on in the first half and were second to everything. Having one player less certainly didn’t help, and before long we found ourselves 2–0 down.

We started the second half strongly. The boys’ heads didn’t drop, and they continued to work hard as a team. Fin pulled one back with a well-struck effort, which lifted everyone as they knew they were only one goal behind.

The boys continued to dig deep, each one doing the work of that missing player. They pressed as a team, and a ball into Bertie at the back post was brilliantly finished with a scorpion kick. Suddenly, we were right back in the game.

With the momentum on our side, the boys kept pressing high and pushing for the win. Unfortunately, we got caught on the break and found ourselves behind again. Once more, the boys showed great character, kept their heads, and continued to put pressure on the opposition. After a clearance only reached Grayson, he put his foot through the ball and fired it back into the opposition’s net.

The game finished all square.

What a fantastic performance from all the boys today. To come from behind, keep believing, and fight back to earn a draw while playing with one player less is a tremendous achievement. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. I know I am, and I’m sure your parents are too.
