Nutrition coaching on its own can make a real difference. But in my experience, it’s made even better when it’s combined with resistance training.

Whatever someone’s goal is …fat loss, building muscle, getting toned, improving running performance or general health, the people who get the best outcomes are almost always the ones training alongside their nutrition.

This is why I offer full weekly resistance programming, combined with nutrition and lifestyle coaching, so you’re getting the whole package!!

If you’re already working on your nutrition, it’s worth asking what you’re building alongside it.

Message me if you want to find out more about programming PLUS☺️💪🏼🍏

HOW THE HECK DO YOU MEET THE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY GUIDELINES?! 🏃‍♀️

150–300 minutes of cardio a week sounds like a lot when you have a full-time job, strength train, have a social life and generally want to have a life outside of exercise 😂

But the guidelines are there for a reason — and I think we sometimes swing too far in the direction of making people feel like they don’t need to do much exercise at all.

If you actually want to improve your cardiovascular fitness and get the wider health benefits of exercise, I think it’s worth deliberately including some proper cardio in your week.

That doesn’t mean you need to spend hours on a treadmill.

A few ways I make it more achievable:

→ Add 10–15 minutes of cardio onto the end of your strength sessions
→ Find a form of cardio you actually enjoy
→ Make it part of something else you enjoy — for me, Saturday sprints followed by a coffee ☕️
→ Parkrun, a weekend bike ride, swimming, a class, running etc. can all become something you look forward to
→ If your weeks vary massively, set yourself a monthly target rather than obsessing over hitting the exact same number every week

And remember, 150 minutes isn’t a pass/fail threshold.

If you’re currently doing very little cardio, going from 30 → 60 → 90 minutes is still a huge improvement.

I also don’t think we should be afraid of saying that, generally speaking, more exercise is better than less when we’re talking about health — provided you’re able to recover from it and it fits into your life.

The guidelines are a useful benchmark, not a ceiling.

You don’t need to become a cardio obsessive. But if strength training is your priority, I’d still want to see some aerobic work sitting alongside it. 🫶 🏃‍♀️

My ‘don’t skip the exercise’ series! PART 2 🤪

Barbell RDLs.

An RDL is a hinge pattern.

So if it’s in your program but the racks are always taken at peak hours, sub for another hinge exercise.

Smith machine. Squat/lunge machine. DBs. Hip extension machine.

All of these still hit the same movement, pushed to the right intensity, they’ll still build what you’re actually training for. 🍑

Missing the barbell isn’t the problem, skipping the pattern is.

I’m all about keeping food simple when it’s hot ☀️

Lots of fresh fruit & veg, easy protein, BBQs, salads and meals that don’t require loads of effort.

Summer is such a good time to get loads of variety into your diet without overcomplicating it 🍉🥗🦐

Food you actually want to eat!😛

Less than 2 weeks out!!!! 👰‍♀️🙈

The reason I’m not crash dieting before my wedding is because of what I’ve been building all year 👇

Everyone knows it ….but hardly anyone does it consistently enough to see it work.

Consistency over perfection, every time. 🤍

4 WEEKS OUT oh ma gaddd 👰‍♀️ 💍 ⛪️

Still cracking on as normal 😅

Reps have been pushed up for a short strength endurance/work capacity block on main lifts which is rather gross 🤢

Hypertrophy accessories as always 💪🏼 🍑

I’m sure these will be the fastest 4 weeks of my life so trying to keep my training focus before my head falls off with nerves 😂😂

Last 4 weeks as a FIDDLER 🎻😱
