A belated happy birthday to Kath Barton, our eldest playing member, who celebrated her 97th birthday at the club last week. Kath, pictured bottom right, along with Lynne Ingham, Marie McNeil and Christine enjoyed a cuppa ☕️and some lovely homemade cakes with our wonderful ladies section!🍰🎂 We're glad you enjoyed your day and we hope to see you on the course soon 🎉🥂🥳🏌️♀️

Huge congratulations to our 2026 Club Champion, the Pro Shop’s very own Joe Williams (151) who prevailed in a nail biting last group battle, beating Adam Longden (152), by one shot. WithCraig Snowdon in third. Pictured, Joe receiving the trophy from Mr Captain, Brian Fleetwood.
The nett prize, Vice Presidents Bowl, was won by Jay Patel (141), holding off a Sunday charge by Leon Phillip (142), with Mike Dobbie and Phil Hill another shot behind on 143. Pictured is Jay receiving the bowl from Vice President, Paul Evans and Mr Captain.
A huge thanks to all the grounds team for presenting the course so superbly and also to Match and Handicap for their hard work over the past two days.

Although the temperature is much cooler this week, the Mersey League is really hotting up!🔥Last night we narrowly defeated northendengolfclub, 4-3 to consolidate our top position. It’s very close with a vital match salegolfclub in a couple of weeks giving us a great opportunity to clinch the league!
With the Seniors sitting pretty in their Mersey League, could this be a famous double?

On Thursday, Mr Captain, Brian Fleetwood, had another fantastic day. His prize to Ladies was won by Marie McNeill with Fran Dalton in 2nd and Lady Captain, Julie Webb having the lowest gross score.
Superb food and service from wb_catering inevitably followed! 👏👏👏👏👏
Saturday saw the traditional beer on Simon’s Bridge between Brian and Tony O’Gara, Captain of Didsbury Golf Club . Long may it continue.
Captains Day for Brian Fleetwood. A packed clubhouse enjoyed superb food from Warren Burns and the team.
Ken Hulme, won with a nett 69, edging out Will Lloyd and Stefan Logue.
Lowest gross was Joe Williams with 76 in testing, windy conditions on CPO, with Craig Snowdon the bridesmaid again!
