What an evening of celebrations at the Westwood Wanderers FC Presentation Evening!! It was a fun packed evening of padel, laughter and celebrations!!

It wasn’t just about the players!! We took the opportunity to acknowledge and recognise our amazing volunteers, who give their time and effort for the love of the club and never ask for anything back in return!!

So the Club Recognition Awards was our way of saying thank you!!

WESTWOOD WANDERERS FC BALLERS - CHAMPIONS OF THE WERNETH JAMIA MOSQUE TOURNAMENT

A huge well done to all 3 of our teams, everyone played very well, but even more pleasing was to see the togetherness and one team mentality and attitude displayed today.

Totally agree the match of the tournament was our Maestros v Werneth Jamia A in the semi final to make it an all WWFC final!! Some brilliant attitude and determination on display during that match!! Well done to the Maestros 👏

Mamzi Ali - the Mavericks can definitely walk away from that tournament with their heads held up high!!! A promising sign for the future, especially when you consider that was the first time they played together

Well done Leyton for receiving the player of the tournament and to Isa for receiving the keeper of the tournament ⚽️👏

As for the winners our Ballers huge credit to every single player, everyone put in a shift and played for each other with lots of goals spread out across the team!! Thanks to Rayyan, Ayaan and Aleem for sharing the keeper duties. A very close fought final with the Maestros coming back from 2-0 to equalise 2-2. It took a moment of brilliant team to enable the winner to be scored!! Well done Ballers 👏👏👏

Only downer was our Salah picking up an injury, Jav ensure you give him some proper rest and he’s back stronger and fitter inshallah 🙏

Chadderton FC tournament today. Played some really good football today but unfortunately got beat by the eventual winners Denton Youth U9’s.

I have been involved in grass roots football as a coach for 5 years now, today I witnessed some of the best football I’ve ever seen. Absolutely unbelievable football by Denton Youth. They played a year up and won every single game 5/6/7 and even 8 nil.

We are still on the look out for some players for this age group current u10’s (year5) next season year 6 u11’s. Please get in touch with us asap.
