Martin Barrie from Manchester Judo Club is looking to get together a group of competitors for the upcoming Luftfahrt Masters in Berlin 🥋

Its taking place on the weekend of 28th November and is open to all over-30s.

Great opportunity to get international experience and enjoy Berlin afterwards 🍻

It was great to have Scott Bailey joining us for randori on Sunday 🥋

Scott's a very accomplished visually impaired (VI) judo and sambo player, who has competed all over the world.

Alongside an excellent snap of Scott and Steve Pullen Mbe, you'll see a photo of Scott's kit.

If a player has a red dot on the back that means they are a classified VI J1 blind fighter. When fighting a VI Judo player or training make sure you always grip up.

Some VI players might not have the red dot, but they'll make you aware that they are visually impaired.

Many of you will have read that another of the Club's VI players Lauren Wigglesworth recently received her Level 2 coaching award.

We're lucky to get to train with so many talented people at Manchester Judo Club 🎉

What a brilliant session this morning with visitors from Huddersfield Judo Club, Lancaster University Judo Club and Rochdale Judo Club.

This includes a strong bunch of female judoka across all weight cats - so, an excellent training opportunity for female judoka in the area!

Au revoir, Evran and Femi 🥋

We have loved hosting Evran and Femi, two outstanding French Cadet players for their summer holidays in Manchester.

Highly skilled, our players have relished the opportunity to learn from, and fight with, them 💪

We hope they have enjoyed Manchester Judo Club hospitality & training too.

We're looking forward to watching their judo careers develop and hope to have them back in the club soon!

Congratulations to the brilliant Lauren Wigglesworth for getting her Level 2 Judo Coaching Qualification this weekend 🥋

Lauren's already a fantastic coach at the Club, using her considerable expertise to sharpen the skills and build the confidence of our younger members. She's also an excellent role model for her classes, always patient, supportive & encouraging.

This qualification is testament to many years of hard work and dedication to judo. Well done, Lauren 👏
