One of the world's oldest and largest inclusive football club. Competing in local leagues and facing other gay friendly teams around the UK and Europe.

Formed in 1996, we are one of the world's oldest and largest football clubs aimed at - but not exclusively - gay men. We play with a competitive, yet fun approach to the beautiful game. We are based in Manchester, United Kingdom and meet up every week for training before playing league matches at the weekend. During the summer we head to international tournaments to take on other gay-friendly teams. Sponsored by www.linten.co.uk

The Anniversary Cup 🏆

The annual 6-a-side competition, celebrating all things VMFC was a fantastic day before our Anniversary Party. Thank you everyone who came along and congratulations to Gazz’s side who ran our ultimate winners on penalties in the final.

3️⃣0️⃣ “VMFC changed my life.” Something we heard a lot on Saturday as we gathered for a brilliant night at our 30th Anniversary Party, right in the heart of the Village.

A fantastic evening of reminiscing and celebrating this wonderful club. This past 12 months has arguably been the biggest and most successful year in VMFC history, and what a wonderful way to round it off.

Now, more than ever, inclusive spaces feel crucial for our community, and we’re so proud of the experiences had, trophies won and friendships made over the past three decades. To 30 years more!

Thank you to the Mechanics Institute & New York New York Manchester🗽 for hosting and Graham Liver for the unflappable entertainment hosting the evening. And most of all, the tireless work of Chair James Cole and Treasurer Steve Joyce for the maybe hundreds of hours volunteering to make all our anniversary events such a success ❤️

🥹 Two weeks ago… Here 3 minutes 42 seconds of raw joyful full time scenes. The moment we became Gay Games champions for the first time in our history

All of VMFC would like to send our very best wishes to Paul Welsh as he moves to Barcelona after an exemplary time with the club.

A phenomenal defensive midfielder, Paul joined VMFC in 2022. In the last four years he’s been a mainstay of a side which have been County Cup finalists, as well as GFSN Cup, EuroGames, and now Gay Games champions. A European and World Champion. Not a bad way to sign off.

Most importantly one of the nicest blokes about. Now go do what you were born to do, which is go do handstands in the sun. The club will be six abs and a great fella lighter.
