𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐩

Following qualification at Henley Women’s Regatta, our Women’s Quad are looking to continue their form tomorrow to qualify for Henley Royal.

Our women’s squad has focused mainly on sculling this season, producing some of our strongest results in the club’s history. This crew are now looking to round off the season with a historic first women’s qualification for MUBC in our newest boat, John Impey.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐩

Tomorrow our Men’s VIII will be sending it down the historic Henley course in the pursuit of qualification.

For many members of this crew, Henley will be their final time representing Manchester, and following a season of medal winning and improved results, they are keen to earn their full colours.

𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟑𝟖 - 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚 & 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚🏁

Last weekend our trailer made the trip to Henley full with northwest clubs’ boats, with ours, Liverpool’s, Agecroft’s and Trafford’s boats onboard.

Both of our entries qualified and performed well at Henley Women’s, with the Quad losing to a strong Edinburgh boat, and Meg reaching the quarter final in the composite 2x, only losing to the eventual winners, St Andrews.

Elsewhere, the men were racing at Marlow finishing 5th in the N final.

🚣‍♀️ 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚 & 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 🚣‍♀️

This weekend both of our Henley boats head South for their penultimate races of the season.

Friday sees our Women’s Quad compete at Henley Women’s Regatta in the Cathy Cruickshank Trophy (TT @ 12:20). We are also represented with a composite double with Leeds University in the Rosie Mayglothling Trophy (TT @ 12:45).

Our Men’s Eight also head back to Dorney Lake on Saturday for Marlow Regatta.

A few weeks have passed since our last update but our squads have been busy with their Henley training.

Metropolitan Regatta presented an opportunity to go side-by-side against club and school competition, with the W4x- coming 6th in C final, and the Op8+ coming 8th in the J final. Thanks to for transporting our boats!

We then moved training away from the canal, with the Women’s Quad training on the Salford Quays, and the Men’s Eight at Runcorn.

Next up, Henley Women’s and Marlow Regatta!

This weekend our Men’s and Women’s squads travel to Dorney Lake for Met Regatta as the first race of the Henley Campaign. Time trial times are as follows:

𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝟑𝟐-𝟑𝟑 - 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥🐣

A couple of weekends ago we held our annual club Easter Ball. This is always a highlight of the year, and having everyone dressed up, receiving awards, and welcoming back some Nemesis members made for a great way to round off the regular season.

The club now turns its eyes towards Henley, with our senior squads heading down to Dorney this weekend for Met Regatta.

Regatta season is back! At the weekend our squads travelled down to Nottingham for BUCS regatta.

Always one of the best weekends of the year, our squads saw almost universal improvements on last year’s results:
