Our President’s Weekend is well underway, with President Derrick Page pictured alongside this morning’s first group and starter David Marsden.

The course is providing a tough test, with some challenging pin positions selected by the President and an alternative tee on the 17th, requiring competitors to navigate the large tree in front of the green!

It’s also a double celebration this weekend, as our Club Professional, Martyn Hamer Davyhulme Park Professional Golf Shop, marks his 10-year anniversary at Davyhulme today. Every golfer received a TaylorMade golf ball to commemorate the occasion, along with a gift from our President—both very well received by our members!

Lee Williams has set the early pace with an excellent nett 67 👏 However, there’s still plenty of golf to be played.

Exciting New Arrival at Davyhulme Park Golf Club! ⛳️

We’re delighted to announce the arrival of our new multi-functional utility vehicle, a fantastic investment in the continued improvement of our golf course.

This versatile machine is capable of carrying out a wide range of essential maintenance tasks simply by changing its attachments. We have purchased attachments for:

Semi-Rough Mowing – delivering a precise cut with more control of rough height

Drainage Trenching (picture attached) – creates drainage trenches beneath the greens with significantly less surface disruption than traditional methods.

Additional attachments could be part of our investment in the future to perform jobs we are currently contracting out, giving us more flexibility and saving money in the long run.

This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible playing surfaces for our members and visitors. We look forward to putting this impressive new machine to work over the coming months.
