📦 Returns aren't just a customer service issue anymore—they're a profitability issue.
A recent Retail Gazette article highlights the growing challenge retailers face in balancing customer expectations with the rising cost of returns. The conversation is shifting from "Should returns be free?" to "How do we make returns fair, transparent and sustainable?"
For marketplace sellers, there's another question:
How quickly can returned stock be made available to sell again?
Every day an item sits waiting to be processed is a missed sales opportunity.
As retailers expand across Amazon, Shopify, Tesco Marketplace, TikTok Shop and beyond, operational efficiency becomes just as important as customer acquisition.
Connected systems, accurate inventory and streamlined order management help retailers recover stock faster and keep selling with confidence.
Because in ecommerce, profitability isn't just about making the sale...It's about everything that happens afterwards.

🔊 AMAZON SELLER NEWS:
You may already be aware that Amazon is cutting the maximum product title length from 200 characters to 75, effective 27th July. To help offset this, a new ‘Item Highlights’ field will give you an extra 125 characters for materials or recommended use cases, helping customers compare products more easily. If you’d like advice on preparing your listings ahead of the change, our support team is happy to help.

🔊Amazon: Stricter carrier validation for cross-border EU shipments
From 1st July 2026, in support of the EU Customs Reform, Amazon will start
validating carriers on shipment confirmations for Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM)
shipments entering the EU from outside the region, where the item price is €150
or below (excluding VAT, shipping and promotional discounts). FBA shipments
and orders over €150 are not affected.
Shipments using carrier names or codes that aren’t on Amazon’s approved list
— including free-text names or internal aliases — will be rejected, so it’s worth
checking your carrier mapping now. You’ll also need to be able to pass IOSS
and ASIN-level product data through to your carrier for customs clearance, as
shipments without this risk delays or rejection at the border. If you think you’ll be affected, get in touch and we can review your carrier codes and customs data setup with you to make sure you stay compliant.
