Congratulations to FirstPoint golfer Sean Collins who has won the prestigious Stephen Gallacher Foundation Trophy at Duddingston GC in Edinburgh!

‘28 candidate Sean from Burhill Juniors fired a fantastic final round 69 - which included 9 birdies - to post a 72-hole aggregate of 285, finishing an impressive three-under par for the tournament to win by one shot.

The event is one of the biggest on the Scottish junior circuit, and sets Sean up nicely for the other major amateur tournaments coming up this summer.

Congratulations to FirstPoint athlete Ethan Bowden who has committed to the University of Rio Grande in Ohio.

Ethan is a talented rugby player who plays for Ilfracombe RFC 1st XV. A lock, Ethan has represented Devon U18s and was on the Exeter Chiefs Academy DPP.

Ethan will join Rio Rugby 🌪 in Fall 2026, playing under Head Coach Brad Sandig. The Red Storm compete in National Collegiate Rugby D1 as part of the Big Rivers Rugby Conference. Last season, the team had a strong showing in both 15s and 7s, competing in the Men’s Premier Cup division of NCR’s Collegiate Rugby Championship 7s.

Congratulations to FirstPoint athlete Harry Morgan who has committed to St Thomas University in Miami, FL.

Harry is a talented rugby player from Ballymena, Northern Ireland who plays inside centre from Ballymena RFC. He was the club’s player of the year at U16s and U18s level, winning the league three years in a row and reaching the Ulster U18s Cup Final. He has also represented Ulster at age group level.

This Fall, he’ll be heading stateside to join the STU Rugby squad — the Bobcats were College Rugby Assoc of America National D1AA Championship in 2025 and won three straight State Championship, now playing in D1A 🏆🔥

Lucas joins a growing number of FirstPoint athletes at STU, and we can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make as a Bobcat!
