We're delighted to announce that Shannon Mahlik has signed her first NSL contract with AO Manchester Thunder! 🤩⚡️

A proud product of the AO Thunder pathway, Shannon has shown incredible loyalty and commitment to the club, and we're thrilled to reward another of our homegrown athletes with this opportunity.

Since making her NSL debut as a TRP in the 2025 season, Shannon has worked tirelessly on and off the court to earn this moment. A talented young athlete with huge potential, we're excited to continue supporting her development and can't wait to see her establish herself at the NSL level.

Cerys burst onto the scene ahead of the Finals Series this year and produced an outstanding debut under immense pressure in the NSL Grand Final, proving to us, and the wider netball community, that she has everything it takes to be an AO Thunder player.

As a talented young Scottish international, Cerys brings athleticism, versatility and exciting new options to our defensive unit. We're thrilled to have her with us and can't wait to see her continue to grow in Thunder colours.

After four fantastic seasons with AO Manchester Thunder, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to Josie Huckle for everything she has given to the club. ⚡️💛

We were delighted to take a chance on Josie ahead of the 2023 season, and she repaid that faith with unwavering commitment, dedication and professionalism every time she stepped onto the court. Her leadership and constant voice on court were invaluable to the team, and we are incredibly
proud that she was part of our 2026 title-winning squad.

Across six seasons ( in her career), Nat’s commitment, professionalism and leadership have left a lasting legacy. Her impact on and off the court has been immeasurable, and she has been an integral part of the two title-winning teams that helped shape our history.

Everyone at AO Thunder is incredibly grateful for her outstanding service and wishes her the very best as she heads to the Commonwealth Games and embarks on the next chapter of her netball career.
