There will be no open play from 1pm–4pm this week.

Use Sprite events and Power Hours to progress faster.
Epic has introduced Weekly Sprite Events, including Sprite-focused drops and Power Hours. These are useful for building your Sprite collection, getting more Dust, and learning which Sprite abilities fit your playstyle.

Avoid landing directly on the hottest new POIs unless you want instant fights.
The Chapter 7 Season 3 map has changed heavily, with new named locations and a refreshed island. New POIs are going to be stacked with players because everyone is exploring them. For better placement, land just outside a hot POI, loot safely, then rotate in and third-party.

Build a balanced loadout: shotgun, spray weapon, range, mobility, heals.
The loot pool includes returning weapons like the Maven Auto Shotgun, Striker Pump, Stinger SMG, Hunting Rifle, plus new weapons such as the Extending Focus Shotgun, Chaos Exploder Rifle, Surgical Burst, and John Wick’s Lancehead Pistol. Don’t carry five weapons. Have one close-range weapon, one spray/follow-up weapon, one range option, one movement item, and heals

Carry mobility every game.
This season is called Runners for a reason. Movement items like Seven Sliders / Power Boots are huge for rotating, escaping third parties, chasing weak players, and surviving in Zero Build. A good player this season is not just the best shooter — it is the player who repositions fastest.

Prioritise Sprites early — but don’t extract blindly.
Sprites are one of the biggest mechanics this season. You can collect them, extract them, earn Sprite Dust, and use that Dust to summon Sprites in future matches. The key is: don’t rush an extraction point with no shield, no mobility, and no cover. Clear the area first, then extract.
