Cycle Service Course

Another successful trip with this time with the Junior MTB squad to Austria.
I met up with them in Davos, Switzerland for the end of their training camp, before we transfered to Graz, Austria for 4 UCI races at the Graz MTB Festival (C1, C2 and 2 x C3 races)

A successful set of races with no rider outside the top 10. We had 4 wins, 3 x 2nd places and a 3rd.
Great work from the riders ! Proud to have been part of the team.

Now home for a week before joining the USA Elite Track Endurance team in Italy for a week if racing. Nice to be off to a velodrome. Its been a minute !!

Also nice to visit Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 on the way to Austria and to see , and again, aswell as working with

The day finally arrived for me to get my hands on my tool wrap. Commisioned it back in May, but a big thanks to for dealing with the logistics for me.

Fitting everything from my Park tools box which has served me well the past few years. Saving a little weight but no less tooling. This should help reduce luggage for travelling.

Maybe an entry for "tool wrap" category 🤔 With a "Ddraig goch" it must has a good chance 😀

Same eclectic mix of functional tools though....

3 bike builds, plenty of servicing and the opportunity to get out the BB preparation tools for the first time in a while (facing and thread cutting after a respray)

Preparing a hand built Gloria titanium adventure bike for an upcoming ride from Austria to Barcelona ! Gravel bikes prepared for racing in Scotland and a few Tarmac SL8s too... Another solid week in the bag.

Another busy week in the workshop comes to an end...

We had Scott Addict day, with an Addict RC 10 (new rear mech) and an Addict 20 for a mini service.

We also had freehub day.... bearing replacement for an Aerocoach disc, a Fulcrum and a Mavic....

A Pinarello F10 with shifter issues has now become our next bike build. The 11 speed Shimano Ultegra Di2 is being replaced with Force AXS 12 speed. Keep you eyes peeled next week.

A regular customer to the workshop from Manchester Triathlon Club brought his Canyon Speedmax CF SLX in for preparation ahead of IRONMAN Frankfurt in a couple of weeks time.

An issue with the Di2 resolved with a replacement wire, replacing one which had got caught on the turbotrainer. Now dialled in for the event. On a fast course, im expecting to see a great result.

Booking now for the 22nd of June onwards. Im away with USA Cycling from 28th June to 14th July, but Xavier will be keeping everything ticking over in my absence.

Last couple of bikes leaving the workshop this week.

My first opportunity to work on the Van Rysel RCR Pro. As the client said, it its good enough for Paul Seixas its good enough for him. What a well spec'd bike for the money. It's very rare to get a production bike at this price with Swiss side wheels and Deda cockpit.

The S-Works Tarmac was another story.This bike had the dreaded "ring of death," and required a carbon repair on its fork steerer before being serviced. Never, ever ride a bike with a loose headset. The "ring of death" can result in serious injury.the
