Man arrested for robbery in Malvern

A 34 year old man was arrested this morning for robbery.
Police were initially called to a report of a disturbance between two males in Church Street, Malvern.
A number of officers from Malvern 'E' shift and Malvern Safer Neighbourhood team attended the location.
They quickly ascertained that the scuffle was a result of an apparent robbery from a mobile phone shop in the town.
The man is still in Police custody whilst officers continue their investigations.

We would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and not something for people to worry about.

A man and woman have been charged following shoplifting in Malvern.

Rachel Jones, of Saltway in Droitwich and Barry McGee, of Layamon Walk in Stourport, have both been charged with two counts of theft from store.

The charges relate to thefts from the Coop on Worcester Road in Malvern on Sunday and Monday (21 September).

40-year-old Jones is set to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on 6 October.

32-year-old McGee will appear at Hereford Magistrates Court on 14 October.

As people have been charged, comments on this post have been switched off to avoid any speculation which could prejudice future court proceedings.

Officers have carried out a warrant this morning as part of ongoing efforts to tackle illegal drug activity in the community.

Whilst it resulted in a negative warrant on this occasion, we are keen to stress that our disruptive actions will not slow down.

Malvern neighbourhood policing teams remain fully committed to addressing community concerns surrounding drug misuse, anti-social behaviour, and organised crime.

Operations of this nature are heavily reliant on intelligence, and even when a specific warrant does not lead to immediate arrests or seizures, the action sends a clear message that criminal activity will not be tolerated.

We will continue to focus on these ongoing issues to disrupt local supply chains and help protect our community.

Intelligence is the backbone of these operations.

Yesterday, officers from the Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team attended the Suckley Village Festival, enjoying the opportunity to meet residents, discuss local concerns and engage with the community. 🤝😊

The day also marked PCSO Emeny's final day with the team. We'd like to thank him for his hard work and dedication to serving the communities of Kempsey & Alfrick and wish him all the very best for the future. 👏🍀

🚔 ROAD SAFETY ENFORCEMENT – MALVERN 🚔

Officers from the Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team have recently dealt with a number of road traffic offences across the local area. 👮‍♂️
📍 Worcester Road, Malvern

Pc Waldron and PCSO Carpenter engaged with a male driver who was believed to be disqualified from driving.
🔎 Initial checks were carried out, with further enquiries identifying a second driver record confirming that the driver was disqualified for 36 months.
👮 The driver was taken to the police station, interviewed and reported for the offence.

📍 Oak Crescent, Malvern
A vehicle was also stopped by PC Waldron and PC Waite a couple of days earlier after officers identified an issue with the vehicle’s temporary insurance cover.
⚠️ The temporary insurance policy had lapsed, and the driver was reported for the offence.

📋 REMEMBER: Drivers are responsible for making sure they are legally entitled to drive and correctly insured before getting behind the wheel.
🛡️ If you take out temporary insurance, make sure you check:
✅ The policy start date
✅ The expiry date
✅ That the policy provides the correct cover for you and the vehicle
🚗 Don’t assume you’re insured — check!

Two men arrested for drug dealing offences

This afternoon officers from Malvern's safer neighbourhood team carried out a number of stop searches in the Pickersleigh and Link areas, following reports of drug dealing.
PC Matt Waite, PC Dave Olczak and PCSO Collette Carpenter carried out 5 stop searches in total.
Two searches resulted from PCSO Rebecca BULLOCK spotting a deal taking place and directing officers to a vehicle involved. PC OLCZAK and PC WAITE then located the vehicle, searched the occupants and arrested them both for being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
The two men have since been bailed whilst inquiries continue.

Officers regularly carry patrols and stop searches following information received from members of the public.

🚔👮‍♀️ A very special visit to Madresfield Early Years Centre Ltd 👮‍♀️🚔

PC Dee Stanley and PC Molly Smith from the Kempsey & Alfrick Safer Neighbourhood Team had a fantastic time visiting the children at Madresfield Early Years Centre earlier today! 🌟

The children had the opportunity to learn all about what we do as police officers, have a look around the police car 🚓, try on some of our police kit, and even have a go at testing the blue lights and sirens! 🚨🔊

There were lots of curious questions, big smiles and plenty of excitement along the way. It was wonderful to see the children getting involved and learning more about the people who help keep their community safe. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone at Madresfield Early Years Centre for inviting us — we had a brilliant time and hope you did too! 👮‍♀️👮‍♀️🚓💙
