I’m Fran — the PT behind Mums in Motion.

But I’m not just the person standing at the front telling you to do another 10 squats. 😂

I’m a mum too.

I understand that motherhood can make exercise feel very different.

Your time is different.

Your priorities are different.

Your body may feel different.

And sometimes your baby has other plans for your workout!

That’s exactly why I wanted Mums in Motion to feel different from a generic fitness class.

It’s a place where you can bring your baby, be yourself, ask questions, take breaks and gradually get stronger.

And yes, we’ll work hard too. 💪🏻

But we’ll have a laugh along the way.

I didn’t become a PT because I’ve always been obsessed with fitness.

I became a PT because I love seeing what happens when someone starts believing in what their body can do.

The woman who didn’t think she was strong enough…

Who suddenly lifts a heavier weight.

The mum who hasn’t exercised in years…

Who realises she actually can do this.

The person who walks into a session lacking confidence…

And leaves feeling capable.

That’s the bit I love.

And over the years, I’ve realised that I especially love helping women through the different stages of life — particularly pregnancy, postnatal life and motherhood.

Because exercise isn’t just about what your body looks like.

It’s about feeling strong enough to carry your baby.

Confident enough to try something new.

Capable enough to keep up with everyday life.

And having something that’s just for you.

That’s why Mums in Motion exists. 💜

They might:

👶 Sleep
👶 Feed
👶 Watch you
👶 Need a cuddle
👶 Cry
👶 Suddenly decide they need ALL of your attention 😂

And that’s completely okay.

Your baby doesn’t need to sleep peacefully next to you for you to get something from the class.

You might stop halfway through an exercise.

You might miss an exercise completely.

You might spend 10 minutes cuddling or feeding your baby and then get back to it.

That’s not a problem. That’s postnatal life.

There is no expectation that you’ll complete the class without interruptions.

Your baby is welcome here too. 💜

So come as you are, and take the breaks you need.

No pressure. No judgement. Just mums getting stronger, one class at a time. 💪💜

Because getting yourself and a baby out of the house on time isn't always straightforward. 😂

Nappy change.

Feed.

Where are my keys?!

Baby has done another poo.

Where's the other shoe?!

We've all been there.

So if you arrive late to Mums in Motion, you haven't missed your chance to join in.

Come in.

Get settled.

I'll let you know what we're doing and you can jump in when you're ready.

No judgement.

No awkward explanation.

No need to feel like everyone is watching you.

Just come in and get involved.

Because motherhood doesn't always run to schedule.

And neither does your workout. 💜

A little behind-the-scenes look at Mums in Motion. 💜

Before everyone arrives, I get the studio ready, put out the mats and make sure everything is set for the session.

And then the mums arrive — babies, bags, feeds, cuddles and all! 😂

Because every class is a little different.

You don't need to arrive perfectly organised.

You don't need to know what you're doing.

You don't need to be “fit enough”.

You just need to turn up.

I'll guide you through the rest.

And that's the whole point of Mums in Motion — creating a space where you and your baby are welcome exactly as you are. 💜

Want to come and see what it's like? Send me a DM with “MOTION” and I'll send you the details.

You really don’t need loads of fancy equipment to get stronger.

At Mums in Motion, we keep things simple.

Most of our strength exercises use dumbbells, alongside our mats for floor-based and core exercises.

And for mums who have been coming for a while and are ready to progress, we might introduce a small barbell for a handful of exercises.

That’s it!

And importantly, you don’t need to know how to use any of it before you come.

I’ll show you what to do, help you choose an appropriate weight and give you options depending on where you’re at.

Because you don’t need to walk through the door already knowing how to strength train.

That’s what you’re here to learn. 💜

Have you ever avoided a fitness class because you weren’t sure you’d know what to do? 👇

17/08/2026

If you’ve never been to Mums in Motion before, you might have lots of little questions.

What happens when I arrive?
Where do I put my baby?
What if they’re unsettled?
What if I’m late?
Will I know anyone?

So this week, I’m taking you behind the scenes of a Mums in Motion class.

Because I want you to know that there is no such thing as a “perfect” class.

Sometimes babies sleep.

Sometimes they don’t.

Sometimes we get through the whole workout.

Sometimes we stop for feeds, cuddles and nappy changes.

Sometimes someone arrives late.

And that’s all completely normal.

This is real life with a baby.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come.

You already belong before you walk through the door. 💜
