Autistic adults who are patients at Berkshire GP surgeries can register for free places at a series of four online advice workshops from the Berkshire Adult Autism Support Service that start next week.
The workshops, which will take place from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesdays, are as follows:
- Sensory Differences: September 23
- Planning & Organising: October 7
- Anxiety & Autism: October 21
- Understanding Other People: October 28

Parenting Special Children is looking for a Partnerships and Commissioning Lead to join our team.

This role will involve:
✨ Building and developing partnerships with organisations.
✨ Attending networking meetings and creating new connections.
✨ Identifying and bringing in commissioning opportunities for PSC’s training, workshops and specialist services.
✨ Developing proposals and quotations, and helping to organise commissioned work from enquiry through to delivery.

You’ll be working closely with our Partnerships Manager, helping to grow opportunities that support neurodivergent children, young people and families.

📍 Hybrid working
⏰ 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
💷 £30,500 FTE

Sibs is partnering on a new research study led by the University of Birmingham to explore how a digital game might help young siblings. 💗 Spaces available in our Community Support Groups

Parenting a child or young person with additional needs can sometimes feel isolating. It can be really helpful to have somewhere you can talk to people who understand, share experiences and get support without having to explain everything.

Our Community Support Groups offer a friendly, welcoming space for parents and carers to:

🌱 Connect with other parent/carers
💬 Share experiences and support one another
🤝 Speak with our specialist parenting practitioners
💡 Explore topics that are relevant to parenting a child with additional needs
☕ Have some time to chat and connect with other parents and carers

Each group includes time for a topic or discussion, as well as plenty of opportunity for informal support and connection.

We currently have spaces available in our Reading, Bracknell and Slough Community Support Groups.

You don't need to have all the answers, and you don't need to come with a particular problem. Sometimes just knowing there are other people who understand can make a real difference. 💗

The groups are free and run monthly during term time.
