Congratulations to Hipwood Polo Team on their fantastic 7–4 victory over Mountgerald Polo Team in the Spirit of the Horse Polo Final, played on Sunday 19th July at Carlito’s Polo Club, White Waltham.

It was a closely contested match from the first throw-in, with both teams playing some excellent polo and the score remaining tight throughout the game. Heading into the final chukka, everything was still to play for, but Hipwood produced a superb finish, combining teamwork, determination and accurate finishing to pull away and secure a deserved victory.

A huge well done to both teams for a competitive and sporting final.

🎉 Bilal’s Birthday Polo Match 🎉

What a fantastic day of polo and celebration at the club on Saturday as friends came together for Bilal’s Birthday Polo Match.

The match saw Cedar Polo Team take on Ballistic Polo Team in an entertaining and closely contested game played in great spirit.

With Cedar starting on a half-goal advantage, both teams produced some excellent polo, with end-to-end action, determined defending and some superb teamwork throughout the match. Ballistic kept the pressure on until the final bell, but Cedar held their nerve to secure a 5½–4 victory.

Following the match, everyone gathered for the prize presentation before enjoying pizza together to continue the birthday celebrations.

The highlight of the afternoon came when Carlito presented Bilal Shaykh with the historic Billy Walsh Trophy. The trophy holds special significance, having been won by Carlito at Ham Polo Club in 1992, making it a very meaningful award to present on Bilal’s birthday. It was a proud moment for Bilal to receive such a treasured trophy after captaining Cedar to victory.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, supported, umpired and helped make the day such a success. It was a wonderful example of the friendly spirit that makes our club so special.

🏆 Summer Cup 2026 – What a Fantastic Weekend of Polo! 🏇☀️
Carlitos Polo Club was delighted to host another successful Summer Cup Tournament on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July, welcoming teams for two exciting mornings of competitive polo played in wonderful spirit.

After some closely contested matches, Jayden Tao’s TaoInfinity team emerged as worthy champions, producing consistently impressive polo throughout the tournament.
