Since 1889 Holyport Real Tennis Club has been a sporting and social hub in one of Berkshire's most picturesque villages. We host some of the world's best players, run tournaments for players of all levels, hold social events for members, family and friends, and seek to cultivate support and passion for the sport we love.

24 HOURS OF REAL TENNIS AT HOLYPORT 🎾🌙☀️

Holyport Real Tennis Club is incredibly proud to be the flagship club for the T&RA’s second National Real Tennis Open Day this October.

The aim is simple: to open our doors, bring more people into our clubs and give as many newcomers as possible the chance to discover this extraordinary sport.
So at Holyport, we thought we’d take things a little further… 24 hours further.

From 6pm on Friday 2 October to 6pm on Saturday 3 October, the court will be alive non-stop for HOLYPORT 24 — a full day and night of real tennis, open to all.
Expect pro exhibition matches, introductory sessions, mixed doubles, juniors, an insomniac doubles session, a one-point slam… and, inevitably, a lot of coffee. ☕

We’ll be sharing the full programme and more details over the coming days, but for now:

🏆 HOLYPORT BOWL 2026 🎾

That’s a wrap for the Holyport Bowl 2026, our traditional season opener and Holyport’s largest open tournament.

Our division 7 team (handicap 30-35) travelled to Canford Real Tennis & Squash Club today for a convincing 2/1 win away. Thanks to Canford for hosting us!

A great start to the new season at Holyport!

It was fantastic to see our young players back on court and competing in the Junior Handicap Doubles & Singles.

🏆 Huge congratulations to Sydney & Alfred, our undefeated Junior Handicap Doubles champions, who played fantastically throughout the day!

And congratulations too to Charles Bartlett, winner of the Junior Handicap Singles, who produced a brilliant unbeaten run and didn’t lose a match all day. 🏆

A great day of junior real tennis at Holyport — well played everyone, and a brilliant way to get the new season underway!

🏆 WORLD CHAMPION — AGAIN! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our very own Katherine Carney, who has just won the Girls’ Junior Real Tennis World Championship at Seacourt! 🌍🎾

Katherine retains her world title, one year after being crowned Junior World Champion at Tuxedo — an incredible achievement. 👏👏

Everyone at Holyport is immensely proud of Katherine. This title is a fantastic reward for all the hard work, commitment and countless hours spent practising on court.

Back-to-back World Champion. Not bad at all!

🌍🏆 5 HOLYPORT PLAYERS AT THE JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🏆🌍

The 2026 World Junior Real Tennis Championships get underway tomorrow at Seacourt, and we’re incredibly proud to have five Holyport members competing!

🏆 HOLYPORT BOWL 2026 🏆

Holyport's Annual Open Doubles Tournament!
One of the best social tournaments on the calendar!

Handicap doubles tournament over 3 days split into A grade and B Grade. Handicap cut off as a pair is 60.

While Competitive play is occuring on the court we will have a Casino Night Entertainment on the Friday

Then one of the biggest highlights of the weekend will be a superb tournament dinner at Les Lions Polo Club on Saturday 12th September. Arrival is 1845, with food served from 1930. Attendees will be enjoy an extensive buffet with meat and veggie options . Players receive a dinner ticket as part of their entry, guests are encouraged to join, with under 16s going free. Les Lions bar will be open for additional drinks.

Light lunch will be provided on Saturday & Sunday for £5 a head, but will be included for any players who purchase the “Full Tournament Ticket”.

🏆 A fantastic weekend for Holyport at the prestigious King's Goblet tournament at Hampton Court! 👑🎾

We are incredibly proud of our members who flew the Holyport flag so brilliantly on one of the sport's biggest stages.

🥇 Neil Harrison-Smith & George Fowler were crowned King's Goblet Champions after a superb campaign.

👏 Mac Harrison-Smith and Sara Lambie also enjoyed excellent runs, reaching the semi-finals.

⭐ As if that wasn't enough, Neil Harrison-Smith was awarded the tournament MVP award, recognising an outstanding all-round performance throughout the event.

🏆 Neil then completed a remarkable weekend by winning the Chalice Pro-Am Challenge alongside Max Wetton.

Congratulations to Neil, George, Mac and Sara — and thank you for making us proud! Fantastic tournament and great organisation from our friends at Hampton Court 👏

What a fantastic Finals Day at Holyport today — a great celebration of real tennis and of our club community.
Members gathered to watch three excellent finals.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day feel so special, especially Jill, Paul and Neil from the committee. Well done also to our new pro Alex, and to Ged, for marking such great matches, and to Jon for the photos and drone videos.
