Alderley Park Badminton Club

Eight pairs of mixed partners played in our annual handicap doubles tournament. Two draw halves converged into two semi-finals and a final. The victorious pair were Jen and Luke beating Vicky and Chris 21-20 in the final. Congratulations to the winners and well done all for taking part. Thanks to Paul for organising again 🙏

At Alderley Park Badminton Club we have immediate opportunities for league standard ladies to strengthen and expand our teams in the Stockport and Tameside Badminton leagues. Like many league clubs we have strength in depth with our male players, but when injuries hit our female members we become stretched. Maybe you play for another club and fancy a change or in a different league or would simply like to rediscover a game you used to play we’d love to hear from you! We play at Everybody Leisure in Alderley Park, club night Tuesday 8-10pm, match night Wednesday 8-10pm. If you’re interested please message to come down.

Fantastic participation tonight from our Alderley Park Badminton Club members for the annual singles tournament. 15 of us of varying ages, youngsters to elder states people shall we say gave it a go and sweated a lot in the heat (some more than others). The handicaps were set by James, the group selection random. Well done to all! Congratulations to the winner Sai playing off -7, followed by James in 2nd place on -5, Chris 3rd on -5 and Andy 4th on +1. Doubles tournament next before the end of the summer and the start of the new season. Thank you to Paul for organising 🙏.

Congratulations to Alderley Park B team - Division 2 champions in Stockport & District badminton league

Well done to the Alderley Park C team who won the B group section of the Stockport & District Messer Trophy tonight 10-5. The team will play the winners of the A group and on May 6th for the Messer trophy.
