Supersonic lift-off for KENWAY & ROBINSON up the Cat & Fiddle
It's Tuesday evening and I'm looking at the weather forecast. It's not obviously shown at first, but patterns are emerging which suggest a fast tailwind up this week's climb. After doing it for over a decade, I know to never trust the predictions and that my own instincts are more reliable.

Victorious Cat & Fiddle birthday party for power couple RAYNARD & NEWBERRY

Thursday's Hill Climb was well organized by Manchester Wheelers' Club. From my viewing spot 5/6 minutes up the climb it looked hard! Manchester's Chris D**e got to the top in just 19:47 ahead of Congleton's Ben Norbury and local rider Bhima Bowden who were both neck and neck where I was stood watching. Photos from Ken Norbury below. Next event is 17th August with Macclesfield Wheelers.

Monday Night's bicycle race, run by Westmead Team 88 was won by local rider Bhima Bowden with Jack Green a close 2nd. Bhima's 47s lead by the 2nd layby was getting reduced in the 2nd half by Jack's superior skill on the flat/descending roads near the top but he ran out of road with a 33s deficit by the top. Times were slow (24/25 mins) due to the conditions. Next event is 28th July run by Manchester Wheelers
