What a fantastic weekend! Three days as a guest at Oulton Park as part of the annual Gold Cup event, culminating in a Youngtimer Parade this morning - three laps of the circuit, which were supposed to be display laps but soon became rather quicker... Flat out up Clay Hill before heading in to the complex double apex right hander at Druids is one of many moments that won't be forgotten for a very long time.

We're still recovering from Bug Jam 35! What a fantastic weekend. Loads of track time, lots learned and looking forward to doing it all again next time...

"I can't believe it's still around! I loved that car, I never thought I'd see it again!"
Chris owned A212JCW between April 1999 and July 2002, rescuing it from years of storage languishing in the back of a barn. He spent an absolute fortune on it (I've got all the receipts on file!) and only sold it because insurance was getting stupidly expensive and he had a modified ur-Quattro project on the go (which he still has).
He was genuinely thrilled to stumble across it today at Capesthorne Hall Classic Car Show and we spent ages telling stories of our times with it. "I used to absolutely thrash it, racing mates with Novas, I mean that's what they're for right? No point having it if you aren't going to drive it like they meant you to".
He's right, and it still gets driven like that today. After all, that's what they're for!

Waiting for the track to open at Santa Pod Raceway for eliminations today in VWDRC Sportsman.
First up for Birthday Boy Darren today is Tom Circuit of Remus Racing in his debut event. An aspiring baker, Tom will be looking to prove himself in his first ever eliminations... whoever gets through will have to keep their performance levels high as the winner will face Daniel "Brioche" from The Loco Polo and will need to get past him to stand a chance of taking the dough.
