Cable has snapped on the crossover machine , it has a temporary shorter one on until the reel arrives in hopefully 3 or 4 days .

Note :
Apparently the weld on the cable crossover arm that moves the action up and down has blown .
I've not yet seen it as I've just been informed .
If it has could you all avoid using that side until I'm able to confirm and get a fresh weld on it .

Standing calf machine out of use until next week , unfortunately I have to take it apart after it was forced off the base ...
Luckily we have a 45° , Donkey and seated also .

If you keep them in the machines they're intended for they shouldn't keep going walkabout 🤔

Rant :
February 10th and I've had more complaints this year already than the other 12 combined .

Weights ... Put them back on the trees when finished with , they're not for leaning against walls and in doing so damaging plaster !

Dumbbells ... Re-rack them , I don't want to find random ones rolling around the Gym floor , and I certainly don't want to hear them being launched to the floor creating more complaints and damage !!

Door ... Make sure it is properly closed , some of you are not taking consideration for the Gyms security !!!

Tidy up ... Belts , bottles , lifting straps , toilet paper , chewing gum .
All found on the Gym floor , do you live like this at home or walk into friends homes dropping the contents of your pockets on the floor ?

In general please be courteous , this is the second post I've had to write this year .
The Gym is basically or might as well be none profit , so every time a complaint to me has to be fixed IE wall damage downstairs , it then has to come out of my pocket .
It shows little or no respect to other members and also myself .

Automatic dismissal from the premises will come into effect and a return of keys , if any culprits are found to be abusing our policy .

Keep the Gym tidy and no more heavy dropping of weights , let's all play to the rules .

Cable snapped last night and despite weather conditions managed to get a new one fitted , unfortunately it won't go over the bottom wheel as it's probably 6" to short .
It doesn't alter the performance of the machine but I will rectify it once the roads improve ...

First up : Merry Christmas I hope you all had a fantastic day with family and friends ...

Now for the serious post :

Over the last few month's I've noticed a massive decline in the way some of you are treating the Gym , I'm aware it will be a very small number of you , however it's unacceptable !!
This morning alone I put 3 sets of heavy dumbbells back on the rack that were just left rolling about the floor because someone was too lazy to replace them , if you're strong enough to lift them you're strong enough to return them to where they belong .
However it gets worse ! Whoever is doing these heavy drop sets is just launching the dumbbells and allowing them to free fall to the floor , this has now caused considerable damage to the walls of the boxing Gym below and meant I've had a visit from the landlord .
I've an extremely good relationship with Garth , however things like this will put a strain on it and will significantly affect a good business and friend relationship if it continues unsorted .
The Gym runs on an extremely tight budget with little to no profit , so incidents like this will affect my finances seriously and that shows that a small minority have little or no respect for me or other members .

Other members have to train around this mess and potentially could cause themselves injury or put themselves in danger of an accident .

I'm babbling on now but it's only because it frustrates the F**k out of me when myself and most members care so much about the environment in which they choose to train .

If you witness anyone showing little or no respect to the Gym then I'd ask that you either ask them to show more respect , or if you don't feel confident in doing so then at least inform me so that I can resolve issues .

Members who in future show no respect for the environment will have memberships revoked and that saddens me as I genuinely find you all to be decent people on the whole , a small number just don't seem to THINK ...

PLEASE enjoy the rest of your Christmas but let's hit the New year with RESPECT being the key word .

Harry McKeon , one of our two Junior members of the year .
I genuinely could gush over how much I respect this young man , he comes in alone and just takes care of business.
Sometimes the Gym is deserted and it's cold and dark but he never lets that stop him .
It's not my place to mention some of the things Harry has had to deal with the previous few years , however his Mum Danielle has addressed them openly as it is such an important subject .
What I will say though is I really really respect and think the world of this young man , he is sincerely going to achieve so much in life .
I'd definitely be proud to bring a lad like Harry up .
