I was chatting over cocktails to my friend (who is also in business) and I explained that over the years there has been a love/ hate relationship with 1:1 work. It is, by far, one of the best ways for me to get eyes on your individual business, life, personality, needs, wants and desires - yes. It is also the space where I can transcend what you believe me to be in a strategist - challenge your ideas of self and identity and truly support you emotionally and in the mental game that is business too - yes.
But for the first few years of 1:1 I found it frustrating. I would pour myself into 60 or 90 minutes each month, sit and build systems in the time away - answer emails and voice notes and support every public post, article and conversation. I would give clear guidelines, to do lists and stepping stones to get the client from where they were to where they desired to be. Both in themselves internally as well as practicalities in the business sense. ...

A picture speaks a thousand words and video tells a visual story. Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 20 years you will know that the visibility metrics of your brand have a direct line to your sales, profit and ultimately income.
Right now in a cost of living crisis, dodgy economy and a world that seems to be getting more and more violently peculiar, many are turning to direct sales skills to keep their businesses afloat.
You are not wrong to do that - frontline first. But the front line is quickly exhaused when you have used those skills on your current leads.
Lead building should be, under ideal conditions, as important as direct selling skills.
In less than ideal circumstances, depending on if you are fighting for your life out there, it is still a close second.
My clients do not sweat visual assets.
High level photography , relatable videography, visibility and lead generation in the bag ready.
They are not posting once per week and going three more without realising they have hidden again.
Their basic level of visibility is once a day across multiple platforms launching, enhancing, reiterating or deepening messages that leads their next clients back down pathways directly to them.
They are filling email lists and emailing regularly.
The questions they are asking themselves are not " What should I post today".
They are asking "Which images suits this message" "Which video creates entertainment as well as reach".
Once you have your identity and messaging piece nailed - and you have the visual assets that align with it - visibility becomes fun - you start seeing opportunities to share images you love, videos that make you giggle. You end up doing this really cringe thing where you are so proud of what you are putting out that you go back and re read it, re watch it and imagine it through others eyes. Your audiences eyes. Your soon to be clients eyes.
Assets that increase your visibility and your brand value are not a cost - they are a solid investment.

10 reasons your identity matters to your business more than you think.
1. Your identity determines your decisions.
People don't consistently act according to their goals; they act according to who they believe they are. If you identify as a visionary CEO, you'll make very different decisions than if you unconsciously identify as someone who's "just trying to make it."
2.Your identity sets your standards.
Mindset influences motivation, but identity shapes standards. Standards determine what you tolerate, what you expect, the quality of clients you accept, and how you allow others to treat you. Entrepreneurs with strong identities naturally raise the bar.
3.Identity creates consistency.
Motivation comes and goes. Identity remains. When you genuinely see yourself as someone who follows through, creates value, and solves problems, showing up becomes part of who you are rather than something you force yourself to do.
4.Your self-image influences your earning potential.
Psychology has repeatedly shown that people often earn, negotiate, and charge in alignment with their perceived value. If you secretly believe you're worth less, you'll unconsciously underprice, overdeliver, or avoid asking for opportunities.
5.Identity shapes resilience during setbacks.
Every entrepreneur experiences rejection, failed launches, and unexpected challenges. Those with a growth identity think, "This happened, but it doesn't define me." Those with a fragile identity often interpret setbacks as proof they aren't capable.
6.You attract opportunities that match the energy you project.
Confidence isn't loud-it's congruent. When your identity is grounded in certainty rather than insecurity, people trust you more readily. Investors, clients, collaborators, and employees are naturally drawn to leaders who know who they are.
