This weekend!

The action at Crouchley Lane kicks off with FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, as our 2XV welcome Sale FC 2XV for a late kick off. Our U10s will also be taking on Sale beforehand so come down to the club on Friday for an action packed evening!

The 1XV are back home on Saturday, welcoming newly promoted Devonport Services for a 2:15pm KO. Reach out to reserve your place at our prematch buffet!

This Saturday is one of the two matches earmarked as National League “derby days”, the other being the Saturday before Christmas. This takes Lymm on a journey to South Birmingham to play Bournville.

The boys take their shortest away trip of the season this weekend to Bournville, where they will be looking to make it 2 wins from 2 to start the campaign!

2 additions to the matchday 20 with Ngoma and Cartlidge joining the bench, whist Ovien and Cope are promoted to the starting team in place of the unavailable Pitcher and Hadland.

It’s an unchanged back line for Andy Davies’s men.

Girls Rugby off to a winning start!

Girls Rugby at Lymm Rugby Club was successfully launched this week with numbers exceeding expectations.

Dedicated girls training sessions commenced on Wednesday and will take place every Wednesday at 6pm on the rugby clubs Artificial Grass Pitch from now on, and every Sunday from 2pm till 3pm.

Head of Mini and Junior section Ian Cope was delighted with the response.

‘We were hoping for upto 10 girls attending and ended up with 20, across a full age range, from 4 years old to 14,’ he said.

‘This shows us there is real demand for Girls Rugby in the area and we welcome all who would like to join us’, added Ian.

‘We also recruited a mum, a former player, onto the coaching team, at the first session, which is exactly what we’d like to do more of in the future,’ added Josh Hadland who is heading up the Girls Rugby coaching team.

Players from Sale Sharks Ladies, Lizzy Duffy and Kendall Wandby also attended to get the coaching session off to a winning start.

The panto is BACK!

Now in its 40th year, the world famous Lymm RFC Panto returns this winter, for Snow White and the Magnificent Seven!

Tickets are available to patrons, VPs and players already. Members tickets go on sale from the 14th September.
