🟢 1./ is it really a martial art from Ireland 🇮🇪 ?
a lot only see the shillalegh ( bata ) as an ornament. It has much more history and a real martial arts system passed down generation to generation that was almost extinct. Now being rekindled and shared worldwide
🟢 2./ can anyone learn ? Absolutely, suits all ages ( PG ) and fitness levels & abilities. Absolute beginners, other martial artists , someone just wants to try it out !
Training sticks are provided either in foam covered type or a wooden version made from Ash , beech or hickory depending upon the technique being practiced.
🟢 3./ Why to come and try ? Learn some self defence skills , be part of keeping this histotry alive , try something different and meet like minded people whilst having some fun .
