parkrun done, cafรฉ chat done and then home for breakfast and results processing on a laptop with a LARGE screen. All done by lunchtime.
A lovely parkrun morning topped off by Rodi completing her 250th parkrun in position 250 ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

We have the threat of wet stuff falling from the sky ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
This is what the lake looked like from the suspension bridge last week, it may look a little different this morning!
See you in a while parkrunners :-)

๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™ VOLUNTEERS - WE LOVE YOU ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™

We currently still have NO timekeepers, and a few more marshals would be nice.
NO timekeeper = NO parkrun (as it is counted as an essential role)
After a summer of full rosters and little RD stress it seems everyone is busy this weekend ๐Ÿ˜ญ
If you can help us out on Saturday or junior parkrun on Sunday Luton parkrunners, both large and small, will be eternally grateful.

Please either comment below for the 5k volunteering or email [email protected] or for 2k junior parkrun volunteering email [email protected]

A massive thank you to everyone who has stepped up and volunteered over the summer, it has made being a run director SOOOOOO much easier.
To keep it going for this Saturday we need:
- 2 x timekeepers
- 1 x finish token person
- Some more marshals
Once these are filled we will think about pacers.

We also want to fill the whole of September ๐Ÿ˜
Have a look at our future roster (https://www.parkrun.org.uk/lutonwardown/futureroster/), pick a role and email us on [email protected]

A fantastic 246 runners, walkers and joggers completed the course this morning, ably supported by a full volunteer roster (thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š), and a pro finish funnel team!

Results have been submitted to HQ for processing, and should be with you shortly.

There were a couple of anomalies with the barcode scanning - if you do find your position is incorrect please do let us know, either by commenting here, or by emailing in.

The next run report was for last Saturday, written by Charles, who also scanned barcodes on the day - second from the left with the rest of the scanning team.
The roster looks good for this week, the 22nd August - so tutus (for 22) anything Hatters related (for the first home league match of the season) is encouraged but not compulsory.
There will also be cake in the cricket club afterwards to celebrate a mid-week birthday.
Meanwhile here is Charles' lovely report. Enjoy :-)

Catching up on run reports and preparing for Saturday's Tutu parkrun - 22nd August = two-two = tutu.
Tutus not essential but definitely encouraged ๐Ÿ˜€
It is also Luton Town's first home match so anything Hatter's related goes too ๐Ÿงก
Run report from Event #515, a very hot 8th August, from the lovely Shirley, on the right. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Before we celebrate, Iโ€™ve 2 grumpy messages though to share that raw important.

1) NO SPITTING! Please use tissues, buffs or similar items to help with unwanted fluids.

2) Please park responsibly. Someone also parked in a red access area today that could have been needed by emergency services. This is not acceptable. Come early - plenty of spaces to be found.

Apart from that it was a lovely morning - a little cooler than last night ๐Ÿฅณ

A huge well done once again to everyone, but especially Meryll who completed parkrun no.700! And well done to the cake maker - it was amazing! Results have been submitted to HQ.
