Hi everyone, hope you all had a good summer and are looking forward to the start of another year at JKD. We hope to begin class on Wednesday the 9th September. I’m sure you have noticed that I intend to offer an extra class on Wednesday evening. I would like to invite both teens and adults to join this class. If there is an interest in joining please PM me.

At the end of the class tonight I was pleased to present 5 white belts to the three Henderson brothers, Éimí and Isla. Well done to all of you.

All the kids were involved in sparring sessions tonight. They were able to display their skills and carried out what they have learned beforehand. They all participated fully and gave of their best. Well done again to all of you.

Hope you all enjoyed the class and look forward to seeing you next week.

Delighted for all the kids who achieved their grading this last two weeks. They also got their JKD uniform and received their individual certificates. They continue to work well and enjoy the classes on Wednesday evening, as i do too. Keep up the good work and enjoy the experience with your friends.

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and that Santa was good to you all. Just to let everyone know that the kids class will commence this Wednesday the 14th of January from 6-7pm at Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre.

Just a reminder as well to wear proper training gear and bring a bottle of water if needed. Looking forward to seeing all the Unity JKD kids as it’s going to be a busy and fun year ahead. 😊💪🏻

Hi everyone, for those kids who have attended regularly from September, I have to bring up the need for each student to be covered by personal insurance. I have looked into this thoroughly and the best quote at present is £7.50 per student for the year. Would it be possible to pay this amount by 26th of November? I am sorry to have to ask for this amount but it is necessary for any unforeseen circumstances.

On a brighter note I think that all the students are working hard and making good progress. Also, they are enjoying the classes and having good fun. Thanks again for your attendance and commitment each week.

Coach James Devine invited me to MKG North Dublin Martial arts on Monday night to cover kickboxing fitness class. I hope all those in attendance enjoyed the class that included basic striking drills, musical movements and elusive combat skills. Enjoyed the experience and thanks to Coach James for the invite.

Good turnout on Wednesday night for the kids class and also a welcome back to Conor Mulholland. They all enjoyed and participated well throughout the session. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will be able to put a lot of our efforts into the JKD drills. Glad to see Angel-Louise and Saoirse return to the class as they can showcase their moves that they learnt last year.

If you’re interested there are still places available for kids on Wednesday night. Class begins 6-7pm.

Just a reminder that the JKD classes resumed last Wednesday evening from 6-7pm in Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre. The kids really enjoyed the class and it was good to see some old faces back with us. I would welcome any new comers and I hope to provide classes that will appeal to everyone.

To start off this year I will be providing a class for ages 5-11. When the numbers increase I will consider a second class for the older group. Hope to see you all there on Wednesday the 17th at 6pm in Taghnevan.
