🚨Club Announcement 🚨

We have some very exciting news this morning!

The Loughborough Eagles will be combining with the Leicester Huntsmen thus bringing together the two teams under the Huntsmen name.

This is to allow flag football in Leicestershire to grow, having all age groups within the same infrastructure and a clear pathway for youth to flow into the mixed adult and women’s iterations.

This means we will now have Youth, Mixed Adult and Women’s teams available for anyone interested in playing flag American football in and around the Leicestershire area.

With the support of Loughborough College, the mixed adult and women’s team will practice on a Friday evening at the College 3G 19:30-21:00 and starting in September the youth teams will be joining them at the college on Saturday morning 11:00-13:00, but for now will remain at Leicester Forest East.

We would like to welcome Amy Slater from the Eagles, who will be the Women’s General Manager and has been instrumental in growing the game here in Leicestershire within the schools recently and founding the Eagles set up.

Lastly, we would like to announce that the club will soon have its first official sponsorship from TIP Group who will be backing the club alongside our kit manufacturer NuOla Customised American Sports Clothing Rudi Halfmann

Last September, Loughborough College embarked on a new academy offering learners the opportunity to participate in Flag Football. Grace Furie, studying a BTEC Level 3 Sports Coaching and Developing course at Loughborough College, joined the college's Flag Football Academy last October and has thrived in sessions ever since and is now part of the national championship-winning Youth U17s flag team, the Leicester Huntsmen.

On Saturday, 22 April, Grace will travel to Sheffield to participate in the Great Britain Women's Flag Football development day, a testament to her hard work and dedication.
