🚨 Joint Action 🚨

Today, officers from Long Eaton SNT joined the Trading Standards team to carry out a visit to a shop in Long Eaton town following numerous reports from members of the public that they have been selling illegal products.

During the visit, officers located numerous packs of illegal ci******es and to***co which have all been seized for the investigation.

We will continue to work closely with our partner agencies to identify and tackle issues within the local community.

🚔 Event Notice 🚔

Officers from Long Eaton SNT will be in Wickes car park, Nottingham Road, Long Eaton on Monday 21st September at 14:00.

We have recently received reports of individuals trying car door handles whilst the vehicle owners are inside the stores.

We will have on hand advice leaflets and safety equipment.

Please also bring along your bicycles so we can register the frame number in case one day it becomes lost or is stolen we will be able to return it straight to you if found.

UPDATE | Officer assaulted in Long Eaton

Further to our post regarding an assault of a Police Officer in Long Eaton, on the 9th of September - Officers from both Long Eaton and Police SNT arrested a male this morning in Kirk Hallam.

The male was arrested at his home address after he was identified yesterday. During a search, the male was found to be in possession of class B drugs and so was also arrested for Possession with intent to supply.

Thank you to the members of the public who assisted with this incident, the male has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

This week PCSOs have been out and about patrolling our hotspot ASB areas, issues have been raised to us through local councils and members of the community.

🚓 CROSS BORDER TEAMWORK 🚓

👮 This week officers from your local safer neighbourhood team met with officers from North West Leicestershire Police and Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service to discuss on going anti-social behaviour close to the border between forces.

💙 It was a great opportunity to meet with our colleagues from Leicestershire Police and Fire Service to tackle concerns and safeguard our communities.

MEDIA APPEAL | CRIME REF 26000542224

On Wednesday (9th September) evening at approximately 20:15 an on duty Police Officer attended McDonalds, Waverley Street, Long Eaton, to investigate a group of nuisance anti-social e-bikes and mopeds.

Whilst detaining a young male on an e-bike, the officer was assaulted to the face, arms and legs, leaving them with injuries.

The male was last seen heading in the direction of KFC on Cross Street Retail Park, leaving behind his e-bike, mobile phone and right trainer. The officer was able to recover the E-bike (pictured below).

| Witness and dashcam appeal after assault | Reference 26*544759

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after an assault in Long Eaton.

We received reports of two men fighting in Market Place at around 11.15pm on Thursday 10 September.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment for non life-threatening injuries. They have also been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 GBH.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, as well as anyone who was driving past and may have dashcam footage.

A scene is currently in place while enquiries continue.
