London Youth Games
This is a great opportunity for boys and girls to represent Enfield and experience competitive hockey.
Winchmore Hill & Enfield Hockey Club is proud to be running the Enfield teams once again for the 2026 London Youth Games, and are on the lookout for enthusiastic players to get involved.

Centenary Tie (Expression of Interest)

As part of Southgate Adelaide Hockey Club’s centenary celebrations, we are offering members and supporters the opportunity to purchase a commemorative centenary tie.

To help us determine quantities before placing an order, we are seeking expressions of interest. The tie will be a special keepsake marking this significant milestone in the club’s history and is suitable for players, past players, officials, supporters, and life members.

Senior Hockey Leagues - New Player or Transfer Deadline (25-26 season) and Request Form

As you are aware the standard adult regulations state that all transfers must take place by 1st February; following this transfers may only take place if approved by the ALMC.

As last year ALMC have set up a google form for approvals. ALMC would note that last year they only approved post deadline transfers where the transfer was for a significant geographical relocation.

Any player transferring without an approval will be considered an ineligable player for any match they participate in, the penalty for which is a 5-0 walkover and -1 penalty point.

Do you or your child want to play Senior Development League Hockey (Saturdays) next season 26/27?
Will the player be 12 (Twelve) or OLDER on 1st September 2026?

The deadline for you (and your child) to be registered on England Hockey's Game Management System is 23 April 2026.

This gives our Committee a week to agree that there is enough demand to also enter a Development Team in the East Hockey Adult Leagues.

🏑🚧Spectators' Travel Advisory - Saturday 31st January

The Muswell Hill Heroes return this weekend! Yes, it’s Sunny Afternoon at the Alexandra Palace.

To avoid traffic congestion from having the two group of supporters in the same idyllic area, the Club has magnanimously moved, for this week only, to our backup venue at Furzefield Leisure Centre, Potters Bar.
Spectators are always welcome and should know that our Players will not be Lazin’ on a Sunny Afternoon and refreshments will be available behind the West Stand.

Southgate becomes the “Hotel California” until March 2026

Southgate Station will operate as an exit-only station from 5th January until March 2026. While this is understandable from a safety perspective (means of emergency escape is maintained), it does restrict travel and associated activities for our neighbours, players and spectators. Those of a certain age will be thinking of The Eagles or possibly Number Six and his large white blobby balloons.

Fortunately, the notice has given time to prepare.

Neighbours and visitors can be assured if you are looking for a form of escape, you can pop down to The Walker Ground to see our teams on Saturdays after their home fixtures.
If you feel that “I am not a number, I am a free person!”’ perhaps we can change your mind after meeting our teams in the bar - we’re always looking for new players at all levels.
Potential escapees should ask at the bar for “Tom, Dick or Harry” and they’ll point you in the right direction.

Obviously, Saturday travel to Finsbury Park will be hampered - Is this a bad thing? - so Gooners may want to stay local and enjoy local sport knowing they can watch "The Match" in the bar instead.

Our Captains will liaise with players (or parents) to ensure their transport needs are catered for.
