Dance Meets Arts is the inaugural public event of County Hall Dance Centre in collaboration with County Hall Arts, marking the beginning of a new programme celebrating dance, culture and artistic collaboration in the heart of London.

Experience an exciting evening featuring contemporary dance, ballet, live music, Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi, Argentine Tango, tea culture and audience participation—showcasing how movement can be inspired by different art forms and cultures.
Whether you're a dance enthusiast, an art lover, or simply looking for a unique summer evening on London's South Bank, everyone is welcome

The evening also marks the official launch of County Hall Dance Centre. Meet the team, discover our upcoming classes and events, and register on the day for your complimentary trial class.

✅ But both the Beginners and Improvers lessons between 5-7pm are *OPEN* and running as normal!!

CANYENGUE is an early style of Argentine tango that developed in the early 20th century, especially in working-class neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
It’s characterised by: a grounded, rhythmic feel, bent knees and a slightly forward posture, closed embrace, playful syncopated movement and a strong connection to early tango music

Modern Argentine tango dancers study Canyengue to understand the historical roots of tango and its musicality.
