Arsenal are set to sign Georgia Stanway on a free transfer from Bayern Munich, according to reports from The Guardian.

The England international’s contract with Bayern expires this summer, with the deal understood to be agreed pending a medical.

Stanway would arrive in north London after four years in Germany, where she helped Bayern win multiple Frauen Bundesliga titles and domestic trophies following her move from Manchester City in 2022.

The 27 year old has also become one of the most important players for England under Sarina Wiegman, playing a key role in the Lionesses’ Euro 2022 success and 2023 World Cup run.

If completed, it would be another huge statement signing for Arsenal ahead of next season.

“I leave a better person and a better player, and for that I’ll always be grateful.”

Katrina Gorry reflected on her time at West Ham after it was confirmed the club captain will leave when her contract expires at the end of June.

Since joining in January 2024, Gorry has made more than 50 appearances for the club and became one of the team’s most influential figures both on and off the pitch. Alongside captaining the side, the Australian international also used her platform to openly discuss motherhood in football, IVF and eating disorders during her time in east London.
