So is Spring already upon us? Did you make a resolution to get out more in the new year, and play golf? Yesterday, although still soft underfoot, many of us were too warm and the next couple of days also forecast to be "balmy". Now is a great time to get in touch and start or continue your golf journey

Yesterday was our Christmas "do". Whilst only 12 of us played golf (and remained dry), we welcomed 54 to our turkey and mince pie lunch, which was complemented by entertainment from 3 members and trophy prize giving. Lovely to see so many including some guests and retired members.

Tuesday’s Men's invitation to Ladies was enjoyed in ideal conditions, apart from the 30 minutes of heavy drizzle towards the end.

Some excellent golf was played, with a fantastic score of 49 points by the winning couple. And in a very close second place with 48 points were the runners up. Very well played to them all.

We continue to welcome prospective new members, both ladies and gents, novices and scratch players to our weekly roll ups on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Do contact us through our website https://whitelodgegolfclub.co.uk/ for more information.

Thursday was our annual charity day where 32 of us competed for the Charity Cup. There was a clear lady winner with 55 stableford points! 👏 15 points clear of the second place contestant. Other prizes were awarded during our lunch for Longest Drive and Nearest The Pin. More photos to follow when we have the total amount raised for Motor Neurone Disease

Super turnout today of 37 players for our regular Thursday morning competition - today was for the “Luneys Trophy”. The summer KO competitions also continued in earnest.
Not only did we manage to avoid much of the heat by tee-ing off early, I learnt a new local rule.
Our new member got a free drop for his ball landing in the log - not permitted to move or damage logs or big branches because it’s Richmond Park. Drop with no penalty.
We continue to attract and welcome new members. Club roll ups are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Do get in contact to find out more

A good turnout on Thursday for our Rosemore Bowl trophy with the winner scoring 42 points ….. his handicap will be coming down 😀! There were some good scores all round with the course arguably in top condition.
Our summer knock out competitions (up to 4) also commenced in earnest.
But don’t let the words “competition” or “trophy” put you off coming to join us on Tuesday or Thursday, the atmosphere is friendly with jovial engagement amongst us.

We’ll be back at Richmond Park next week so do enquire or better still join us
