Becky knew she needed to make a change
At 40, drained and running on empty, she wanted to turn her health around
She wasn’t unfit through not caring
She was just exhausted
Tired and sluggish every morning
She’d been strict with the main meals, but the snacking crept in; a sweet tooth, a hard Friday after work, and the whole week could unravel
And she genuinely didn’t know where to start, or how to train at home on her own
When she reached out she said my page just resonated and that I was the kind of coach she’d been looking for
She knew she needed the structure and accountability to actually follow through
So she backed herself and got started
We tracked her macros and calories properly, so she learned what she was eating instead of guessing
We worked with what she already had at home
A walking pad and a set of adjustable dumbbells
Helped her understand how to apply progressive overload so her strength had no choice but to climb
She fell for the process so hard she’s now bought herself a bar to work on her grip strength
Here’s where she landed, 7 months in:
71.3kg ➞ 59kg
12kg down (nearly 2 stone)
A full dress size gone
Sleeping better, calmer around food, and far more energy
All coached online
If you’re around 40 or the wrong side of it and don’t know where to start, that’s exactly where Becky was.

Most women don’t get to 70 wishing they’d spent more time trying to weigh less
They wish they’d built more strength
Muscle isn’t about looking toned
It’s what gets you up off the floor
Helps you get to the toilet on your own
Carries the shopping
Protects your bones and joints
Keeps your metabolism and insulin sensitivity working for you, not against you
The difference between the two women in this graphic isn’t genetics
It’s years of small decisions
Lifting
Eating enough protein
Moving daily
Sleeping properly
Repeating it when it’s boring
I’ve coached women from their 20s to their 90s over 20+ years, and the pattern is always the same
The ones who build muscle now are the ones still moving well decades later
If you’re over 40 or getting there, stop chasing the smallest version of yourself
Build the strongest one

Nobody fails on a Sunday
Sunday is easy
Sunday is good intentions and a full fridge
Wednesday is where plans die
Late meetings, broken sleep, everyone needing something from you
If your plan falls apart every Wednesday, the plan is the problem
Not you
Over 40, your time, energy and responsibilities aren’t what they were at 25
So stop writing plans for a woman with a 25yr olds calendar
Three non-negotiables instead:
- Protein at every meal
- Two strength sessions
- Same bedtime, most nights
Boring
Repeatable
That’s why it works
DM me “PLAN” if you want your three built around the week you actually live

It’s too hot for this s**t 🥵
I think it’s fair to say this heat has affected all of us this week
Sleep’s been disrupted
Water intake has probably slipped
Step counts have dropped
If you train at home, you may have skipped a session altogether
Even if you’ve been lucky enough to train in air conditioning, you’ve probably noticed your workouts feel harder than usual
That doesn’t mean you’re losing fitness or failing at life
Your body is working overtime to regulate its temperature, which means your heart rate is higher, you’re likely feeling more fatigued, and recovery can take a bigger hit
So if you’ve eased off a little this week, don’t panic
This isn’t the week to judge your progress
Get your fluids in, keep your protein up, do what you can, and when the weather settles, get back to your usual routine
One hot week won’t undo months of consistency☀️💪🏽
