We’re playing the Railway Taverners Cricket Club in Highgate this evening. We play at some exceptional grounds in London, but this one is right up there and the Tavs are always good for a laugh. Here they are setting fire to Mike Gatting’s tour diary upon our win last year.

How good is cricket… our chairperson, (and current record holder for most balls in an over) gets rattled by a young quick from Heytesbury & Sutton Veny CC in the final overs of the day.
Unlucky Sam Beags …😬
The Grade Cricketer thoughts on the footwork here?

It’s going to be a ‘scorcher’ on Thursday, but fortunately, our upbringings playing in Aussie backyards has prepared us for this very moment. Come and join us as we take on the lovely chaps from Tothill CC at the Kings House Sports Ground W4 2SP from 5.30pm.

A perfect summer day of village cricket in Surrey for AHCC, which had everything you could ask for. ☀️ 4 run-outs, a lost ball, a horse & carriage passing by 🐎, lunch & pints at the pub 🍺, and finishing with a hat-trick. Truly everything, except for a AHCC win. Thanks, as always, for hosting us Chelsea Arts Club. This is always a memorable fixture and we look forward to next year.

For the first time in our Club’s history, we go into the weekend with a double-header of fixtures. On Saturday we are in Dunsford playing the Chelsea Arts Club - think proper village cricket with a pub 100 metres from the pitch. On Sunday we are on our ‘home’ deck in Dulwich playing the Rifles Cricket Club - think cheapest drinks inside the M25. With the weather looking slightly better, join us for a Pimm’s and some proper cricket in the sun. ☀️ 🏏🤞

Not the result we were after, but some great individual performances, cheered on by our Deputy High Commission Elisabeth Bowes.
