Handball is one of the fast-growing sports and combines speed, agility and power, making it a fantastic sport for kids to learn. But it’s not just about sport. It’s also about teamwork, confidence, friendships and creating memories that can last a lifetime💙

At our club, we’re committed to developing the next generation of handball players. We’re proud to see many of our juniors progress through our club, with some going on to compete at the highest levels in our senior teams, progress through England Handball development pathways, and ultimately represent Great Britain at national level.

We offer training for different age groups and abilities, creating a supportive environment where young players can learn, improve and have fun.

That’s a wrap on our extra july summer sessions! ☀️🤾‍♂️

Over the last two weeks, our U14 and U16 players had the incredible opportunity to train with former WLE player Myles

Myles is currently playing in France for Grandville (National 2) and recently completed his T4 coaching. Having him share his experience and a fresh coaching perspective with our young athletes was an amazing opportunity for everyone involved.

A massive thank you to Myles for giving back to the club! 🙌

Shoutout as well to Peter and Paul Paul Bray for all their help during the sessions. 👏

Our juniors joined a fun tournament this summer hosted by Bishop's Stortford Handball
Congrats to our U16 boys and U14 boys for being the winners of the summer cup!🏆

It was wonderful to see our juniors enjoying outdoor handball, showing off their impressive handball skills, sharing laughs, and having so much fun together.

We had teams from U12, U14, and U16 taking part in the tournament, and it was fantastic to see everyone’s enthusiasm and team spirit.

Well done again to all the juniors who participated! Wishing you all a lovely summer break ☀️🤾

A fantastic day of appreciation and recognition, celebrating the hard work, commitment, and dedication shown throughout the season.

The celebrations began with fun games and, for some of our Eagles, perhaps one final game before they move on to the next chapter of their lives. We wish them every success and thank them for everything they’ve contributed to the club.

It was also a chance to recognise the incredible efforts of our coaches, volunteers, and players, who consistently go above and beyond to make this club so special.

Congratulations to Alex on being named England Handball Player of the Year! 🏆

One of the league’s most dangerous players, Alex has been phenomenal throughout the season, averaging 6.8 goals per game in the regular season and earning MVP honours on four occasions. With her versatility in attack, she can threaten defences in a variety of ways, while her exceptional court vision consistently creates quality opportunities for her teammates. Her pace and anticipation have also made her a constant impact in defence, producing numerous interceptions and launching fast breaks.

Our club is incredibly proud to see Alex crowned with this honour. Well done, Alex! 👏

Join us this Saturday for our Annual General Meeting and End-of-Season Games!

We’ll be hosting friendly matches across all age groups, so come along and get involved. After the games, why not stay and join us for social drinks at The George IV?

All members are warmly welcome, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible.
