Vine Pony Club

What a fantastic weekend the vine had at the area 13 tri and tet qualifier. After a wonderfully fun and friendly xc at woodhouse on the Saturday the team headed to lord Wandsworth college to complete the competition on the Sunday. As always our competitors shone, with a 1st team of Freddie, Rose and Grace in the tet beanies, a second placed team of Alfred, and newbies Charlie and George in the minis tri, and third in the same category with only 2 members were Hetty and Philip who both won individually. And to show our younger members the way, Daisy and Georgie teamed up to come third in the biggies Tri. Topping our children’s inspiring performances was the happy and supportive approach they all brought to the weekend.

Huge congratulations to Humphrey and his pony Sky who qualified at the Area Eventing last weekend with an excellent dressage score of 31 and a foot perfect double clear XC and SJ .. an amazing effort on a very hot day with lots of support from his wonderful Mum. The Vine tetrathletes and triathletes had a wonderful day at the RA tet held at Dene Farm on Sunday.

We had some great results from minis all the way down to beanies. Rocky came 7th in the beanies tri, India 11th in the beanies tet with a superb fastest run, Freddie won the beanie boys tet with a record best run and best swim, Philip won his mini tet, Finlay came 7th in his tadpole tri with 2nd fastest run and Alfie came 7th in his mini tri. Brilliant performances from everyone and great team spirit!

This was, as always, a wonderful friendly event, thank you to all the volunteers & RA for putting on the event!
