Salary: £25,000–£28,000 DOE
37.5 hours per week
Fixed term to July 2029, subject to funding
Flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Based at Portobello Rugby Club and partner schools

PYRA edge Kirkcaldy in pre-season thriller
Kirkcaldy RFC 26 – PYRA 28

PYRA u15 opened their pre-season with a hard-fought 28–26 win over Kirkcaldy RFC in a fiercely contested match between two evenly matched sides.

Tries from Murdo, Lewis, James and Bruce did the damage, while Cameron was ice-cool from the tee, landing all four conversions.

It was a physical, high-tempo contest throughout, with PYRA showing grit, composure and plenty of promise in their first run-out.

There were confident debuts from Tyler and Enzo, both stepping up well in a demanding encounter.

A great result, a strong performance, and an ideal start to pre-season.

Portobello under 16’s completed their pre-season preparation at Stoneyhill on Friday night, edging a close game in an entertaining encounter in front of a decent crowd.

Musselburgh took the lead, with Captain Max Mill levelling the scores. Porty then went ahead through Ryan Rogers, and extended their lead through Huey Holden before Musselburgh scored late on to take it to the wire. Full time 19-15 to Portobello.

Focus now moves to Royal High in the East Region league on the 29th. Thanks to our friends from Musselburgh for hosting the lads and best wishes for the season.
