11U County Cup Finals 🎾

Our 11U Boys & Girls teams travelled to Nottingham Tennis Centre last weekend to compete in the County Cup finals.

The girls team overcame two close matches against Yorkshire and Warwickshire with 4-2 scorelines before confirming their route to the final day after beating Cheshire 5-1. Our girls finished the weekend with a silver medal after a tough match against Surrey with plenty of competition experience gained from the tie.

The boy’s road to the final saw them play a challenging match against Essex finishing at 3-3 to go to a final shoot out tie break with Middlesex winning 12-10! A tremendous fighting effort from the team. Other group matches involved beating Lancashire 5-1 and South Wales 6-0. Our boys put on a good fight in the final against Yorkshire but also came away with the silver medal.

Entries Open Soon! 🙌

There is only a week to go until entries open for the Middlesex County Championships 2026 Junior (8U-18U), Open and Senior age group events.

Search for ‘Middlesex County Championships’ on the LTA Competitions site (make sure you’re logged in), view the fact sheet with all event details and start dates/times and then click the heart in the top right corner to favourite the tournament. You’ll get a notification as soon as entries open!

If you’re looking for info about the Inclusive events, keep an eye out for details about entry dates.

The padel events will be publicised later in the year and won’t be running in the same week as the tennis events in August.

Play Tour Way to Wimbledon 2026 🏆

The Play Your Way to Wimbledon County Stage finals are now complete, with players having qualified to this stage having won their venue stage in various venues all over the county.

56 players competed over the last two weekends competing for a place to reach the National Finals, taking place at The All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon, in August.

Well done to all players for reaching the county stage finals and good luck to all players who have progressed to the next stage.

Learning Disability Tennis Tournament THIS WEEKEND! 🎉

A super weekend coming up at Mayfield Tennis Club in North London (N13). Singles on Saturday (27th), Doubles on Sunday (28th). You don’t need play the tennis - just come & enjoy the BBQ (Saturday), cafe, bingo, fun activities & inspiring tennis.

A few familiar faces from Middlesex Tennis inducted into the World Tennis Wheelchair Hall of Champions 👏

Celebrating legends of Wheelchair Tennis

Today in Eastbourne we celebrated the induction of a group of special people into the World Tennis Wheelchair Hall of Champions. These players, coaches and contributors have played a central role in shaping the sport.

Wheelchair tennis could not have been built without these dedicated individuals and organisations, they are Mark Bullock, Martin McElhatton OBE, Sue Wolstenholme OBE, Stuart Wilkinson, Geraint Richards and the LTA.

Two incredible players are also inducted, they didn’t just compete in wheelchair tennis — they helped shape it, define excellence, set standards, and helped turn a vision into a global sport. They are Jordanne Whiley a 13-time Grand Slam champion and Peter Norfolk OBE, winner of the first two Paralympic quad singles gold medals in 2004 and 2008, and of 22 other major titles.

LTA Officially Announce the new 10U Performance Network

Following a review of its existing 10U Performance Programme model, and an extensive application process, the LTA has officially announced the new 10U Performance Network.

Middlesex Tennis is delighted to announce that two of our County venues are part of the 19 x 10U Performance Programmes:
