Day 5 | Highlights

Unfortunately for us the weather forecasts were correct and rain came to North London this morning.

Fortunately, we have some very hardy tennis players and this did not deter them from getting on court.

The 8U Boys & Girls Singles at Georgians and 10U Boys Singles at Hazelwood went ahead and everyone played fantastically well despite the drizzly conditions.

We were also delighted to welcome the Children's Commissioner, Dame Rachel de Souza. Keen to learn bout what makes tennis so special for kids she chatted with players and parents during an informal picnic lunch. Fortunately by then the rain had stopped.

Enjoyable day acting as Referee for the LD event

🎾 MIDDLESEX COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Ability Aces player Zaydan who reached the quarterfinals at the Middlesex Tennis LD county championships event 👏

This was Zaydan’s first ever event outside of the club and so it was a big achievement to for him to play 4 matches in a new environment against new opposition.

We are very proud of Zaydan for playing so well to reach the quarterfinals and look forward to seeing him play in more events in the future.

Day 4 | Middlesex County Championships 2026

Overnight rain was (thankfully) swept away on the morning of Day Four.

A busy day of tennis once again, with a series of Finals played throughout the day.

Congratulations to all our Finalists and well played to our Winners. It was a pleasure to see the Finals played in wonderful spirit.

Looking forward to tomorrow - a super busy day which includes a visit of the Children's Commissioner. There will be ample opportunity for children and parents to speak to her. Make sure you are at Hazelwood between 11.30am - 1.15pm.
