GAGA CLASSES TOMORROW! 🧡
Sunday 12th July
with Jannick Moth
🔸2-3pm gaga.people
(open to people ages 16+, regardless of their background in dance or movement)
🔸3:15-4:30pm gaga.dancers
(open to dancers and advanced dance students ages 16+)
Gaga is the movement language developed by Ohad Naharin .
Gaga classes are predicated on a deep listening to the body and to physical sensations. The instructions are deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation, and rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multi-sensory, physically challenging experience.

Last ProDance Classes Before the Summer Break ✨
with Kieran Brown (only 3 days)
13th-15th July
10:30am-12pm
This week's class offers a rich release-based practice, cultivating awareness through movement and inviting softness, presence, and connection to the body's innate intelligence.
Beginning on the floor, we'll draw on principles of Feldenkrais to awaken somatic awareness through gentle exploration of the skeletal structure and sensation. Gradually building warmth and organisation, we'll make our way to standing, discovering how ease and efficiency can support movement from within.
Through improvised crossings and sensory exploration, we'll investigate our relationship to gravity, playing with the weight of the limbs, head, and pelvis, and discovering new pathways through the body. As the class unfolds, we'll move into phrase work that blends structure and freedom, inviting an improvisational approach to choreographed material.
Expect a practice that explores softness and expansion, weight transference, coordination, flow, and the pleasure of inhabiting the dancing body fully.
A beautiful way to close the season before the summer break. We would love to share one last class with you before we part ways for the holidays.
See you in the studio. ✨

Really excited for this one! 🧡
ProDance class with Justin De Jager & Tia Hockey
6th-9th July
10:30am-12pm
In this class Justin and Tia will share elements of their current research of a hybrid movement approach, exploring an instinctive fusion of threading and contact improvisation/partnering. Threading’s precise, spatial geometry and entangling puzzles are integrated with contact improvisation’s weight-sharing dialogue and tactile negotiation.
To begin, we will establish a shared understanding of chosen threading concepts through physicalised tools and concept-based tasks.
This exploration will lead into the partnering aspect of the language, building our kinaesthetic awareness, activating embodied problem-solving skills and encouraging creative freedom through a guided improvisational practice.

YTT26 Guest Teachers 🧡
🔸 Meet Yasmin Mirza
Introduction to Sanskrit Terms
Yasmin was first introduced to the philosophies of yoga as a child and later deepened her studies at university, where she studied Anthropology and Sanskrit. Through years spent immersed in Sanskrit texts, Yasmin developed a profound connection to the spiritual roots and ancient teachings of yoga.
She has been practicing Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow for over 15 years, bringing both discipline and depth to her practice and teaching.
Alongside being a yoga teacher, Yasmin is also a classroom educator. At the heart of her teaching is a strong belief that knowledge is a gift meant to be shared. She is passionate about empowering students with the understanding, confidence, and tools needed to grow into the fullest version of themselves.
In YTT26, Yasmin will introduce students to key Sanskrit terms used within yoga practice and philosophy, helping trainees build a deeper connection to the language, history, and meaning behind the teachings and postures we use today.
We’re so excited to welcome Yasmin’s knowledge, warmth, and wisdom into the YTT26 training ✨
