This is the story of Connor. Passed over for selection by Saracens and ERA, he had a decision to make.
Give up ….or get up and go again.
Winning is easy, but getting knocked down and being faced with adversity telll us far more about our players. It’s moments like this that define who you really are - as a player, but more importantly as a person.
Bryony Cleall and I unpack stories like this on the new ERA Podcast — launching Friday 4 September.

Results day.
You've spent months doing the work quietly. Revision after school, early mornings, sessions when you were already tired. Nobody saw most of it. Today it's on paper.
Whatever the grades say, we're proud of you. Some of you got exactly what you wanted. Some of you didn't. Both are part of the journey.
The habits that get you through exams are the same ones that get you through a season. Show up. Do the rep. Repeat.
Congratulations, players at ERA. Enjoy today, you've earned it.

Congratulations to Nash Cohen, Reuben Flynn, Joel Pitterson Avon and Corey Wilkins.
Silver medallists at the RAN U19 Championship in Mexico.
International rugby. A silver medal. A proud moment for everyone connected to ERA.
Joel and Corey are both former ERA players, and seeing them compete on the international stage says everything about where the work can take you.
We could not be prouder of all four of you.
Meet Harry. Inside centre, Kent ERA, heading into Surrey next season.
"Great energy, great coaches. Everyone's up for it. Everyone comes here to play. I learned a couple of new things and had a brilliant time.
See you at ERA Surrey! 🫡
"I've been twice. That tells you everything you need to know."
Oscar keeps coming back to ERA Camps. Here's why, in his words
"Most camps focus on how you play physically. That's important. But here they also work on the mental side. How to deal with disappointment. How to keep your head when things aren't going your way.
Train your body. Train your mind. You need both.
Cheers, Oscar. See you at the next one.

North London = Standards.
No shortcuts. No excuses. Just high-quality coaching, relentless effort, and players committed to getting better every session.
Everyone wants to train harder. Almost nobody talks about staying on the pitch.
But the best players in the world aren't the ones who train the hardest. They're the ones who are still standing.
Meet Lexi. One of our Graduate Sports Rehabilitator. Part of what makes ERA different.
Because high performance and athlete health don't sit in separate rooms here. Of course we push you, but we don't break you to build you.
Train with world class coaches. Get assessed properly. And find out what happens when the standard goes up and the risk comes down.
Welcome to the Elite Rugby Academy.

Last month, our Brighton girls came to be assessed.
To be measured against a standard.
To be challenged.
To show us exactly what they’ve got.
Same standards. Same demands. Same edge.
This isn’t participation. This is development.
Brighton - this is your first cohort.
Assessments are open. Limited places available.
