Rounding off the committee posts in STYLE 😮‍💨 … introducing your Presidents Jamie and Andy 🫡👯

Your Co-President Jamie is a man who exemplifies loyalty: enduring the emotional torment of being a United fan, missing half of AU Ball for a ‘higher calling’ and, of course, tennis (not a single training session was attended last year). Unfortunately, that loyalty doesn’t extend to LSE. After meeting about two people at Bankside in first year, he spent second year living with exactly zero LSE people, a true testament to his love for the university. Flat life did wonders for Jamie though, with nutritious salads and superfoods helping him morph from an 8-elixir troop into a 2-elixir troop. He does love a hot girl summer 👙 and can usually be found at Koko on a Saturday. But nights out tend to end unconventionally where he can be stranded at a petrol station ordering takeaway at 5am, hopping on Omegle, or transforming into a shirtless activist, you never quite know what you’re getting. He may be our most unserious President yet, but rest assured he probably knows what he’s jewing 👊💥

Your Co-President Andy’s credentials consist of questionable tennis ability, saying “mush” at every opportunity and turning into the Ibiza final boss whenever house music comes on. Don’t let that fool you though as this is also a man who cried seeing Zara Larsson and can recite the entire Lush Life dance on command 💅 He’s promised plenty of drinking games and big socials for this year, which is bold for someone who can’t down a beer if his presidency depended on it, so freshers enjoy humbling your President in week one. Staying upright isn’t much more of a strength, with his fellow Co-President already experienced as his carer. This peaked with the worst Carol showing in tennis history, where Andy rage quit and took himself home by 11am. If he survives the night, you’ll probably find him in Heaven for the fourth time that week, although even he couldn’t tell you why he keeps going 👀 And if you’re still wondering what qualifies him for Co-President, wait until he traps you in a 3am drunk deep chat, nothing screams leadership quite like putting your own members to sleep 🥀😴

And the committee reveals KEEP ON COMING 🪩 … introducing your Treasurer Ethen and Secretary Maria 🤩

Your Treasurer, Ethen, studies Economics, which apparently qualifies him to look after the club’s money. His commitment to a night out however is far more proven, with Fabric and Ministry seeing plenty of him 😵‍💫 Unsurprisingly, he claims he plays his best tennis the morning after, although no one’s actually seen him play in any other state. Even Barca tour couldn’t stop the grind though, with Ethen swapping pres for revision like exams were the next morning 🤓 Despite all this, we are trusting him with the club’s finances this year, so whether we finish with a healthy budget or £14 and a suspicious number of Fabric receipts, at least we’ll know it was put to good use… 🕺😮‍💨

Your Secretary Maria, has never quite grasped that “tennis society” involves the word “tennis.” When she does show up to practice, it’s less for the tennis and more for the yapping 😘 Her attendance to Wednesday socials, though, is much more stellar🍸 And on Barca tour, let’s just say Maria made it memorable, for reasons she still isn’t fully willing to spell out… 👀🫠

KEEPING THE COMMITTEE POSTS ROLLING 🔥… introducing your Social Secs Sam and Tait 🕺🍻

Your Social Sec Sam has an incredible dedication to tennis, which can sometimes be misconstrued for doing absolutely nothing. His dedication, however, clearly lies elsewhere, having somehow side quested his way into becoming President of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 🥋 Aside from this nonsense, he’s a fiend for a good night out, and if you ask him what that looks like, he’ll respond with one word ‘squidge’. No one actually knows what this means, but as you can see from the pictures above, he’s an absolute sucker for a good flick. Hopefully this year he’ll make it through the whole tour without inventing exams to revise for just to secure an early flight home, you best believe he will be more committed than anyone next year… 🪩😜

Your Social Sec Tait’s commitment to playing tennis is almost as convincing as his attempts to tell people his hair is naturally blonde 👱‍♀️ His commitment to a night out, however, is second to none, recent events saw him head to Edinburgh for a night out and somehow end up stranded in Peterborough until 7am. He’s also a self-proclaimed Fulham hooligan if you disrespect his club, although he’ll probably just threaten you with a cheeseboard 💸 He promises to make next year’s socials bigger and better, including another unforgettable AU Ball pres but hopefully this time he’ll remember them too 🥴 preferably without thinking he’s prime Mike Tyson…💀

WE ARE NOT SLOWING DOWN 🏃… introducing your LUSL Captain Fiona and Social Captain Frankie 🤩👊

Your LUSL Captain, Fiona, has spent the past year proving that her biggest opponent is not actually on the other side of the net, but basic coordination. In just one year, she’s somehow managed to pass out three times, get concussed once, and break four bones. Her ankle gave out on the stairs in Old Building, an impressive commitment to making LSE’s least accessible building even less accessible. She still turned up to training with her arm in a cast, which may finally explain why her backhand is nowhere to be seen, and even made it to Carol on crutches because, obviously, staying home was never an option 💃🩼 If she makes it through the year without another trip to A&E, we’ll consider the season a success 🫡🙏

Your Social Captain Frankie is back in action with his special hoodie to make your Wednesdays the highlight of the week 🤪 His backhand is as strong as ever when it’s on its day, but those days just don’t seem to ever come. Last year was a testament to his leadership skills, but rumour has it that he has even more in store this year… 🧐💰

WOW, starting off the committee posts with a BANG💥…introducing your BUCS Captains Max and Laura 🎾😎

Your Men’s BUCS Captain, Max’s commitment to tennis is almost as unwavering as his commitment to a cheeky post-match pint. As a Management student, Max likes to think of himself as a ‘jack of all trades’, but unfortunately, this also meant that a role as Treasurer was off the cards almost immediately 🥀. His work ethic and leadership are not to be underestimated, largely because they haven’t actually been tested yet… Still, if leadership is about keeping team morale high and making sure everyone gets to the pub after a match, Max may already be overqualified 🤞🍻

Your Women’s BUCS Captain Laura, has a very competitive side, but losses seem to follow her. Legend has it, on the Barcelona trip during pres, she cheated and downed a G&T instead of a massive pint, but her team still lost. Except when it comes to tennis matches. Here, she unlocks the ultimate transformer power. She insists on creating “memes,” AKA repeating words she thinks are funny… No one has the heart to tell her that it’s mildly amusing and mildly frustrating at the same time 💀. She loves going out and having fun, although alcohol is not exactly her forte. What is her forte, though, is after club pizza with her friends, where she and the pizza man, both being Italian, seem to have an understanding. If you catch my drift… 🤐👨‍🍳

Introducing Contact Point.

For 2 years I’ve been paying £50 an hour for tennis coaching. Most weeks I couldn’t justify it. And the alternatives — YouTube tutorials, apps that just track ball speed — gave me 47 things to fix and no clue which actually mattered for my game.

So I built something better.

Upload a 10-second clip of your stroke. AI tracks 33 body points across every frame. Get coach-grade feedback in under 30 seconds — priority fixes ranked by impact, specific drills you can run this week, tailored to your level.

Built by a player, between lectures, for anyone who wants to actually improve.
