Most people try to declutter the whole house… and that’s exactly why they give up.

Start with the spaces you use every single day. Quick wins create momentum, and before you know it, your whole home starts to feel lighter.

✨ My 15 spaces to declutter first:

1. Kitchen worktops
2. Your hallway “drop zone”
3. The dreaded junk drawer
4. Bathroom countertop
5. Fridge (check those expiry dates!)
6. One pantry shelf
7. Bedside table
8. Car centre console
9. Laundry room surface
10. Your handbag or work bag
11. Coffee table
12. Under the bathroom sink
13. The floor of your wardrobe
14. One linen shelf
15. One toy basket

Don’t aim for perfection. Aim for progress.

A tidy home isn’t created in one weekend—it’s built through small, consistent wins. Which one are you tackling first? 👇

7,000 of you?! 😳❤️

I honestly thought I’d be talking to my few friends… and maybe my cleaners. 😂

Instead, there are now 7,000 of you following my journey—from cleaning hacks and business chaos to coffee-fuelled mornings, London life, and the occasional “I’ve survived today” moments.

Thank you for every like, every comment, every share, every recommendation, and every message. You have no idea how much they mean, especially on those days when running a business feels like putting out fires with a mop. 🪣😂

This little account has brought me clients, friends, opportunities, and so much encouragement.

Here’s to more cleaning tips, more business lessons, more laughs, and hopefully… a little less dust. 😉

Thank you for being here. I appreciate every single one of you. ❤️

1. Cleaning in the wrong order
Always clean from top to bottom. Dust first, then vacuum and mop. Otherwise, you’ll end up cleaning the floors twice.

2. Using too much cleaning product
More product doesn’t mean a better clean. It often leaves a sticky residue that attracts even more dust and dirt.

3. Leaving wet towels in a pile
Damp towels quickly become a breeding ground for bacteria and unpleasant smells. Hang them up to dry after every use.

4. Forgetting to clean your cleaning tools
A dirty mop, sponge, vacuum filter, or washing machine can’t clean properly. Keep your tools clean if you want your home to stay clean.

5. Ignoring high-touch areas
Light switches, door handles, remote controls, fridge handles, and kettle handles are some of the germiest places in the home—and they’re often forgotten.

6. Letting clutter build up
A quick five-minute tidy makes cleaning so much faster. Less clutter means less to move and less to clean around.

7. Forgetting extractor fans
Kitchen and bathroom extractor fans collect grease and dust. Clean them regularly to improve airflow and help prevent mould.

8. Not drying your sink and taps
A quick wipe after use helps prevent limescale, water spots, and keeps your sink looking shiny every day.

9. Waiting until everything is really dirty
Ten minutes of maintenance is always easier than a whole day of deep cleaning.

10. Using one cloth for the whole house
Use separate cloths for kitchens, bathrooms, and general surfaces to avoid spreading bacteria around your home.

11. Never checking your vacuum filter
A blocked filter reduces suction, makes cleaning harder, and can blow dust straight back into the room.

12. Buying glass cleaner for every shiny surface
You don’t need a dedicated glass cleaner for everything. A quality microfiber cloth with a little water is often all you need for streak-free mirrors, glass, and shiny surfaces. Less product, fewer streaks, and one less bottle under the sink.

13. Never opening the windows
Fresh air helps remove moisture, cooking smells, and stale air. Even 10–15 minutes a day can make a big difference.

Today’s little Feng Shui ritual…
They say that today is a beautiful day to invite fresh energy into your home.
One of the simplest things you can do? Wash your front door. 🚪✨
In Feng Shui, the front door is where opportunities, abundance, and positive energy enter your home. Giving it a quick clean is a symbolic way of saying:
“I’m ready to welcome new blessings, new opportunities, and good people into my life.”
Whether you believe in Feng Shui or simply enjoy a clean, welcoming entrance, it’s a lovely excuse to spend five minutes freshening up the first thing you—and your guests—see.
Who knows… sometimes a little ritual is all it takes to shift your mindset and your day. 💛
Do you have a little home ritual that always makes you feel good?
