🏏 Weekend Results | 15-16 Aug

Another sunny weekend of cricket ticked off, with a much needed win for the 1st XI.

🏏1st XI: Jordan Reifer (90), Alf Gardner (63) and Sam Owen (52) with back to back fifties. Ryan Cummins took 4 wickets, Harry Jackson 3.

🏏2nd XI: Harley Lillywhite led the way with 42. Will Bevan and Hakimullah both took 3 wickets.

🏏3rd XI: Edged out by 1 run in a thrilling encounter. Matt Isaac (43), Kaysar Lewis (39 not out) and Sam Beales (38) with the bat, 3 wickets apiece for Matt and George Brotherwood.

🏏4th XI: Virat Bahvsar the standout with 22.

🏏Trust XI: Bragging rights went to Sanderstead. Owen Cook top scored with 36 in an innings where most got starts but couldn’t kick on. Harry Murphy (4 wickets) and Ed Wozinak (3 wickets) took it to the wire.
An enjoyable afternoon at the old saw mill, capped off with football between the two sides. Sanderstead won that too 🙄

Great effort across the board. On to next weekend 💪

🏆 HISTORY MAKERS 🏆

Beddington Under 16s are NEC Legacy Festival champions — the first Beddington side ever to win it!

Lost to Old Rutlishians in the opener, then bounced back with big wins over Epsom, Wimbledon and Sutton to reach the final. Rematch. Old Rutlishians set 75.

Sam Beales (20* retired) and Connor Wilkins (14) flew out the blocks. Ibrahim Safi and Kaysar Lewis kept it going. Paarth Patil sealed it with 2 balls to spare!

Arnav & Ewan excellent with bat and ball throughout.

Weekend Results | 8 August

Five games across the club this weekend — wins for the 3s and 4s, gallant defeats for the 1s, 2s and 5s. Some huge individual performances to shout about.

🏏 1st XI: Jordan Reifer (93) and Sam Owen (79) led a daunting run chase that ultimately fell short. Big effort, well done lads.

🏏 2nd XI: Hamid Gondal bagged a 5-fer, but the run chase fell short despite Scott Dance’s unbeaten 54.

🏏 3rd XI: Ibrahim Safi’s day out. 45 with the bat, 6 wickets with the ball, backed by tight, economical bowling from Gitesh and Angelo, secured a crucial win for the 3s.

🏏 4th XI: Santosh Natarajan led the way with 49, capping off a great win.

🏏 5th XI: Kev Horkan the standout with 39.
