Guild of St Magnus

Sunday ringing at St Magnus will resume from Easter Day, 12:10 meet for ringing after the Mass. Paul Tiebout will be running the ringing. Please do come along as the parish has noticed the lack of bells in recent weeks and we wish to keep the place as available as it always has been. Thanks for your support.

St Magnus the Martyr was the 2nd church to be destroyed by the Great Fire of London 350 years ago this week. Tomorrow the Ancient Society of College Youths will be attempting a record peal on the bells of 12,144 Zanussi S Maximus which will pretty much take all day.

The bells at St Magnus the Martyr will be ringing from 5.15pm on Thursday 16th April for the St Magnus Day service. Following the service the bells will be rung by the University of London Society.

This Sunday the bells at St Magnus the Martyr will be ringing from about 12:15 following the 11.00am Easter Day Solemn High Mass. It will be great to see lots of people at the ringing.

This Sunday is the Annual Blessing of the River Thames which will be held on London Bridge at 12.30.

As with last year, this Sunday ringing at St Magnus the Martyr will start as normal following the Service - usual meet time of 12:10.

At 12.30 a quarter peal attempt will then start, which should take just under an hour, coinciding with the start of the Annual Blessing of the River Thames.

Meet time for ringing this Sunday will be 12.35pm due to a longer service.

There is no Service ringing tomorrow.
