Britcar Endurance Championship Round 6 | Snetterton

After qualifying P7 in class, we knew there was still plenty to do in the race , but we had no worries and were ready for the challenge.

The race started in dry conditions, although we knew the rain was on its way. I took the opening stint and, sure enough, the rain arrived on Lap 2

I battled my way up the pack, making good positions and taking time out of the teams ahead.

Unfortunately, i spun coming out of palmers later in my stint , after losing tyre temperature via the wet grass it forced us into an early pit stop. Despite that, i managed to stay out on the slicks until the pit window opened which was what the team wanted.

Josh then took over for the second stint in his first real crack in wet condition in this car(only 1 spin to report) , followed by Will for the final stint.

The rain continued to fall, making for some seriously tricky conditions, but it was an exciting race from start to finish.

Huge credit to every driver on the grid , despite the challenging conditions, we managed a full race with no safety cars, which is some achievement!

We eventually brought it home P6 in class, and most importantly, the car has gone home in one piece.

A solid result and plenty to take away from the weekend. On to the next one at Silverstone !

Big shoutout to all our sponsors for keeping us out there and competing!

What do you do when you’re not driving at the track ? Make myself look silly when I see a camera normally ! Bring on Donington park on the 8th. I will leave the edits to the media team I think.

What I thought would be an easy post to write, full of positivity and excitement, has actually turned out to be one of the hardest.

Spa-Francorchamps. Ask most racing drivers and they'll tell you it's a bucket-list circuit. For me, it has been a dream for a very long time. To be given the opportunity by Army Sports Car Racing to drive the Ginetta G55 SuperCup car there made the entire weekend feel like a pinch-me moment.

From glorious sunshine one minute to biblical rain the next, testing was a real baptism of fire. There was so much to learn, but progress was good and everything looked set for Race 1.

And that's exactly how it stayed.

After Will laid the perfect foundation in the opening stint, I climbed aboard and had one of my most enjoyable races to date. The highlight came on the final lap, making a move at the final corner to gain a crucial position and secure valuable championship points. The whole team was buzzing. It was the perfect end to the first day of racing and a moment I'll never forget.

Sunday, unfortunately, told a very different story.
An electrical issue prevented us from getting any meaningful running before qualifying. Credit to the team, who worked tirelessly to get the car repaired and back out on track with just enough time to confirm everything was working.

Qualifying started positively, but traffic made finding a clean lap difficult. On my final attempt, while pushing to secure a time, I made a mistake. I got my inputs wrong, lost the rear of the car, and ended up in the tyre wall.

The damage was significant, but what hurts most is knowing that my mistake ended the weekend for everyone involved.

If you ever want to know what makes a grown man cry, it's witnessing the birth of his children... and then seeing the destruction of a mate's GT car that he's just put into the wall.

It was an emotional rollercoaster of a weekend. The team and I now find ourselves facing some difficult conversations and a significant financial challenge. The remainder of the season is very much hanging in the balance.

That said, I firmly believe in what we've built. With the support of our friends, family, partners and the incredible Army Motorsport community around us, I don't believe this is where the story ends.

I also want to personally thank everyone who has messaged, called, or stopped to ask if I was okay after the crash. The support and reassurance I've received over the last few days has meant more than you know.

Finally, a huge thank you to my personal sponsors: Antac Support Services, FTX Logistics Limited, Asgood Engineering, and Martin Hardy Fleet Support, alongside the fantastic Army Motorsport sponsors who make opportunities like this possible.
The highs were incredible. The lows were painful. But racing has a way of teaching you lessons when you least expect them.

We'll regroup, rebuild, and do everything we can to get back on track.
