Burgess parkrun

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us today for a gloriously sunny parkrun! ☀️ It was brilliant to see so many of you there, especially those sporting London Marathon tees and medals. We're super proud of everyone who ran, walked, volunteered or supported last Sunday.

We had a technical issue today with one of the scan files, so we are aware some of you are missing times. The rather excellent news is that we have recovered the missing data, so don't worry, we can and will get this sorted out. 🎉

If you are one of the affected parkrunners, do please bear with us while we correct the results. (It's a manual volunteer process powered by coffee, not AI.)

In the meantime, enjoy the lovely weather, and thanks so much again for choosing to spend your morning with us. ❤️

Happy New Year, parkrunners! 👋

We hope you enjoyed our special NYD event yesterday - congratulations to all 484 finishers and our 35 amazing volunteers for starting the year in style. 🎉 However, here's an early heads up that our normal event due to take place tomorrow on Saturday 3 January might not happen after all.

Part of the route is currently heavily frosted, and we are likely to make a call later to cancel. Not confirmed yet, but we'll update later and let you know!

If you're already looking forward to the weekend, you're not the only one! 😉 As always, we're super excited to be parkrunning together on Saturday. If you're around, we'd love your help in filling the roster and making it all possible! 🥰

Currently, we are looking for:

3 x marshals (who doesn't love being thanked by 100s of hundreds of park runners?)

many x funnel managers (currently we only have 1! 😱)

If you're super speedy, you could even run first before pitching in with barcode scanning or funnel management. :)

Burgess parkrun is cancelled on 2nd and 9th August due to other events in the park. Back on the 16th, see you then! ☺️

Burgess parkrun is cancelled today on 19 July due to the poor weather. It's miserable outside, and there is a risk of thunder and lightning, so do stay safe and dry! 🌧 ⚡️

Burgess parkrun is cancelled on 24 May and 31 May due to another event in the park.

It's finally Marathon Weekend - and we are SO excited! 🎉

If you fancy kicking off your weekend with some parkrunny goodness, we'll see you at the start line in Burgess Park tomorrow.

The roster is pleasingly full for tomorrow (YESSSS, Burgess! 🙏), but we can never have too many volunteers. So if you fancy coming along to soak up the atmosphere but don't want to run, walk or jog, come see the run director in the morning and she'll find you something to usefully do! :)
